From the dealer: $105.49 each. I bought 2 and a factory battery, the total was $421.01 out the door.

PS - I had to run back in real quick to find my pants

Where can one buy the conversion bits for a wide body?
Gert sells a kit with factory parts . It isn't cheap, and probably not worth doing on a coupe, but you can't just go trade your NB cab for one with a wide body.

It is here: http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p93032.htm

yes, gert does sell a kit. i would've gone thru him but the dealer was just easier for me to deal with. the kit does require some modifications to the rear quarters since the factory never really made wb cabs, not for production at least.

next time i'm up in reno i'll try to link up with you. i've got a house up there in university ridge.

The answer to my inquiry

Hi Guy,

The kit comes with all parts needed to modify a standard C2 or C4 into the
C4S look.

It can be installed on a cab but it requires a bit more work as the top
needs to be partially removed.

The kit includes 30 parts (not counting the hardware) such as the steel rear
quarters and wide body rocker panels. Also included are wide body fender
liners and even the necessary Porsche spacers as the rear wheels have to be
more to the outside once the wider fenders are installed.

All these parts are genuine Porsche parts and not fibreglass reproduction.

The most important components to be installed/modified with the parts that
come with the kit :

Installation of front and rear Turbo bumper covers

Modification front fenders

Rear quarter replacement(complete panel L+R)

Door rocker panel replacement(complete panel L+R)

Replacement of the exhaust tips.

Installation of fender liners, rocker covers.

The price for the kit is 5300 Euro excluding shipping.

We estimate around 75 hours + paintwork.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Gert.

Allill -

The car looks sue-weeet. Suprised you did'nt opt for the split grille as a nice WB accent.

Enjoy in good health

Allill,

Your car looks sweet. I love the color and look. Do you have a side profile shot you can post?

Your ride has that Classey look to it so IMO the Chrome wheels fit it fine. Not over the top at all.

Since you're a local owner you should check out Santana row on Saturdays or check out a BAR run that might be happening on Superbowl Sunday.

Okay! I've decided. It's going to a body shop to get it install correctly.

Let me know when the BAR run is and when you'll be at Santana Row. I saw your car once at Carlsen but didn't want to be rude and approach you since I've never talked to you through here.

Glad you dig the car and the chrome bling bling rims- j/k. They don't look that bad and are growing on me.

lj,

They are from hk and came with the kit. They aren't the greatest, but as you can see in the photos, they'll pass. I plan on switching back and forth between the stock foglights anyway since that all white wrap around look is so nice.

I'm also going for the white wrap around look with the bumperettes removed and thought about going with HKs vs OE but comments from others about HK have held me back. Incidentally, I'm also putting the split grille and deleting the rear bumperettes and basket handle. I've got to say, I was trying hard to picture the car in my mind and seeing pics of yours have helped a lot.

Allill: That car is allsick! Very nice choices! Looks great. I have Gemballa tips which are nice (bit pricey, though).
