Hi,
Anyone know of a good place for a PPI in/near Springfield, MA ?
Through the web, I find Father & Sons Porsche (dealer) and JE Robison (Independent). Any word on these or others appreciated.
Dan Jacobs is probably too far away for this.

I checked the map and it says it's about 38 miles from the car. I hope the seller doesn't mind and will try it.
Has anyone ever heard of/used JE Robison (claims big on Porsches (and Land Rovers+many more), involved in CVR PCA, Bosch authorized, etc.) ?

What town is the car located in? (there aren't that many of us out here) I would push for Automobile Associates but it's a little over an hour away from Springfield. JE Robison are a good group (really nice guys) but I'm not sure I would go there for a 964/993 PPI. You want someone that knows these cars completely inside and out and Jim N might actually be the closest. Who does the regular maintenance? The (really) only other shop is up in Greenfield. There is a small foreign auto repair shop in downtown Northampton that does work on some Porsches but they don't see too many 993s. I don't know who still works at Father & Sons but that was the dealership that 6 years ago convinced me that I really needed to work on my own car...

I'd recommend Musante Motorsports in South Windsor, CT (Tel. 860.291.9415) (Web site: Musantemotorsports.com). Musante is a Porsche only repair shop. They are about 20 minutes from Springfield. Chris Musante did the PPI on my car and spent about four hours going over the car thoroughly (even the seller was impressed). Musante gave my car a written clean bill of health. So far Musante has been right on about my car as I've driven it over 5000 trouble free miles since purchase.

Thanks Dudley, I'm there every year in July to play and/or watch The Open when it is at the Old Course. I'm especially looking forward to this year as I've also been made a member at the Carnoustie Golf Club, so I'll still be able to play in St. Andrews and watch great golf in Angus. Helps to have a wife from St. Andrews. Semper Nova, David.

I have only been to Scotland twice. We are on a quest to play all the courses built before 1880.

Glad to; I have not heard of JE Robison, but I live in Central MA and use Paul Tosi at Autotechnica (who is terrific and literally just down the street).
My 1984 was serviced by Jim, I believe (previous owner lived in CT).
