Default That "Perfect Sebring lap for a 993" video.

Hello guys,

Terry finally stopped working and made up the time digitize & upload the video of my lap from Sebring. Biiig thanks Terry!

Right-Click and save the video here.

Cheers and feedback is always very much appreciated.

I posted this in Racing Forum but since it's a 993 lap, I though it should be posted here also.

Jack,

It's maybe better if you right-click, save it and then watch it.

Wish I could see it, Petu, but I don't have mp4 software. Anyway it can be converted to a Windows Media file?

Mark,

Unfortunately I don't have tools for converting it from mp4 to something else.

I view it with quicktime, you can download it for free here.

I was finally able to see it. Nice job and a a great lap! You would have been near the top of the heap in D for 2006 with your 29.xx(?). At the '05 race where Danny and Bill Martin had their brutal encounter, it looks like the top drivers were in the 26's. What is your car tipping the scales at now?

Thanks guys.

Jeff,
Yes, that was 996 (obviously he slowed down on the straight to let me by).

Mark,
Lap time was 2.29.93 , that's why it's "perfect".
My car is pretty light, about 2860 with gas. It's too light for club racing but on the other hand, suspension, tranny and engine are the big ones where I give to those in club racing. My time fairs well with D or C class 993s but I have a lot to imrpove to get down to 26s... I'm not giving up though!

Greg, you need to do those a.s.a.p.

Yeah, I was just noticing that you were around 2:30. That's a great lap there. You'd probably lose 1-2 secs getting up to weight (+160 lbs) but you could make that up I'm sure. Great lap! Too bad the PCA club racing rules work against 993's else you'd get on the podium with drives like that.

Don't forget he's on PSS9s, he would gain a few seconds going to Motons. The motor is also a stock '95. And Hoosiers would be worth a bit of time also. So all said and done, I'm guessing Petu is right near the top of the pack.
