lol yeah im a regular at e46fanatics, im already looking at mods for this. i want:
Carrera S split rear grille/paint matched
Paint matched rear bumperettes
clear front corners
turbo S/some other form of brake duct for the front
6000k xenons
paint match center console
tint(would it look weird to tint just the sides w/ triangle?)
audio(head unit/replace speakers/maybe add sub of some sort?)

any other suggestions right off the bat? im stumbling across some cool little mods that are 993 specific, and already found betterbodiesmotorsport. im trying to do light stuff to freshen up the look/make it unique. not sure i want to go all out on this one again lol, but you know how the mod bug goes

What are you going use this car for? Track time or more of a garage queen?

I would recommend suspension first and a short shifter. Those two mods transform the 993

its gonna be a weekend driver/summer car. in the summer itll be interchanged with the BMW, and in the winter itll be used on the rare nice days that im not in my truck.(the intention is to only drive it with the top down and when im feening for a 3rd pedal in the winter lol)

for suspension do i need to do full coilovers? or are springs ok? maybe spring/shock combo? i think thatll be the 2nd round of mods along with wheels.

The VERY first mod to any 993 that has not yet been updated is the suspension. After 10 years, no matter what mileage, the suspension (at least the shocks) need to be updated.

By far the preferred course is to upgrade at least the springs, to a Euro/ROW version, and the shocks so as to lower the car to the ride height that it came in every other country but the US (aka Rest Of World (ROW) ride height).

There are a number of common options available:

Porsche MO30 Sport Springs (Euro) with Bilstein HD Shocks
H&R Springs with Bilstein HD Shocks
Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers
etc.

For a cab that is not going to be tracked, my favorite combo is the Porsche MO30 and HDs. I have them in my car and it is very tight and handles great. I lowered mine to about 5mm above the Porsche 993 RS ride height (see the DIY Suspension install instructions in my signature for an explanation of various ride heights) and I also installed larger front and rear sway bars. Using a shop that knows how to align these cars (look carefully in your area--search this forum for the terms "kinematic toe" to learn why), the results are spectacular.

Welcome.

Welcome to rennlist Boosted 330! If, as Chris said you have the modding bug, then be ready for the slope! You'll find wagons of ideas here... Starting with the suspension then the LWF, then ... Ok buy it and we'll help you for the rest!

Cheers
PS: go ahead with the pics, I'd like to see the Shelby.

According to my mechanic (Musante Motorsports) the basic suspension set-up on my car is as "previously mentioned." The previous owner of my car said he had the suspension built by Speedsport of Norwalk to "GT-2 specs" (Although, I'm not sure what that means). Likewise, I'm not sure about the cost of the suspension because I bought this car as you see it and as described. I can tell you that I paid $34.5K for my car in August '06 and it had 20100 miles (plus, the PPI was clean).

My impression of the car's handling with this set-up is like Jeff's, "very tight and handle's great". Try to drive some cars with and without this set-up. The cars I drove without the Bilstein HD, ROW M030 set-up felt like they handled a bit vague and soft to me.

Also, I would recommend the Fabspeed exhaust, the sound is great.
