Default Measurements for decklid "Carrera" badge

Does anyone have access to a drawing/sketch/pdf that shows the factory position of the standard black "Carrera" decklid badge? I plan to replace mine and will thoroughly clean & polish the area before adhering the new one. I'm sure the old badge will leave a ghost image, but it would be nice to have the measurements just in case.

Is yours still on? If so I just mark it with some tape on the edges before you take it off. It will most likely leave a ghost image anyways, mine did.

Yes, it's still on, for the most part.

Make a template then. Otherwise, they are simply centered.

Don't worry, it won't be until you have it installed and you post a picture that we will tell you it's crooked.

I measured mine before I took it off (measurements at home), but it left such a serious "ghost image", that I did not need them to put it back on. Just measure yours from the bottom of the deck and center it side-to-side.

That's what I plan on doing when I change mine!

I found using a cloth tape measure made this easier since the
lid is not flat. Also, I seem to remember that while it is centered
side to side, it sits lower than center top to bottom.

Well I just took mine off two weeks ago since i had broken it. It did leave a ghost image on the decklid but I was able to get it off. Buffing at a body shop, not 10 minutes of work and off it was. Now clean look.

I love it. You may like it better w/o.

I actually like the nice contrast of the black script on the silver lid, and already have the new emblem...

I'll just use a cloth tape to take measurements before removing the existing emblem.

I just seem to remember seeing a factory drawing that depicted the measurements.

Take a photo of your car using color slide film. You can then project the film image onto your car, ensuring a perfect re-creation. Or you could just slap it up there and hope for the best.

You got it. My creative fee, which hasn't moved in over four years, is $2,500 per day, excluding usage rights.

My agent will be in contact with you.

I'll let you take up to ten images of the car in exchange for a set of RS mounts.....
