Largest Tires Possible on NB?
I am doing a bit of research for my next purchase which is new 18" tires. What is the largest tires (Front & back) that have fit on a NB at RoW height w/non-rolled fenders? Please include your rim width, offset and camber. I undestand that there are some variations, but I want to get some first hand feedback on what has actually worked for the good folks here at RL. If I missed a similar thread in my search, please point me in the proper direction! Thanks in Advance.
Edit: Camber request added. Thanks Finn!

I have 18" 245 & 285 tyres on 8x18" w/ 48 offset & 10x18" w/ 52 offset. Rears are rolled but these would fit without rolling if the rear offset was 65.
Also, you need to know what camber setting people have, I have -3 in rear and -2.5 in front.

Jeff,
I think you need to also specify tire brand. Tires shoulder width varies from brand to brand. Here is what I have for my 95 NB.
Front wheel 18x8 ET 50
Rears wheel 18x10 ET 65
Tires are 225/40ZR18 and 285/30ZR18 Sumitomo HTRZ II
Suspension is MO30 spring/shocks
Normal spec alignment
No rolled fender

Also, if anyone happens to know, approx. how much extra clearance does rolling the fenders give you? Thanks.

I don't have my fronts rolled, just the rears. In my avatar, I'm running Pirelli slicks with 265/645-18's up front (I don't remember the offset on 8.5 inch rim) and 305/645-18's (10.5 inch, et 56) in the back. I can actually fit the older Hoosier 305/30-18's in the back, which are wider than their current R6 315/30-18's.
I'm not sure how much more room you get with rolling the rears, but it's really worth it and real easy. With the right camber and wheel, its amazing what you can fit back there. Oh yeah, one last thing: I think every 993 is just a little different. I think I have the widest narrowbody built.

Mark,
Yes, the taller the sidewall, the taller the gearing, thus I think accelerates just a little slower. The benefit of the taller sidewall to me is that doesn't heat up as much as the shorties (285/30/-18's) plus there are some areas at my track to where I have to either shift up or ride the rev limiter. Not so with the taller ones. I use both, that way I can legaly change gearing.......
