Default Finally got it back

I finally got my c4s back from the shop after a major MAJOR $$$ service clutch, brakes , fluids lots of gaskets , ac expansion valve and so on. I purchashed this car from Adam months ago. First thing done was to debadge the RUF emblem and will change it back to the porsche crest and removed some window graphics . Next step is detailing then ???

and also pianted the calipers to yellow

What did you use to paint the calipers? I had a pain disaster when I tried to paint the calipers on my 964 red... now I have one black and one pink caliper..

Black on the passenger side (I didn't attempt painting that one) and pink on the driver side after most of it bubbled but was still sticky enough to NOT be removable with even mineral spirits... i was not about to try paint stripper unless I was going to polish the calipers. Ugh. At least winter is coming soon and the daylight hours you can see the pinkish rotor (OK.. it's not like you might imagine. hot pink.. but it's fugly) are limited.

Maybe I should pull them and have a pro refinish in red or, black or.. something..

Alvin,

Post some more pics.... Did you know it needed all those items when you purchased the car? Also if I remember correctly the RUF bumpers didn't fit properly, no? But in the pics the front bumper looks pretty good. I can't wait until you put your magic touch on this car.

Nice job.

Mmmm, yummmy. That car speaks to me. The front bumper looks pretty good in the pic you posted. Obviously I dig the black rims. If you decide to ditch them for something else I might be interested. I know that there is a speed yellow 993TT some where in my future to keep the 993 coupe company and it will have black rims.

What paint did you use? Acetone or brake fluid will remove most. I sprayed a few coats of VHT Caliper RED and Caliper CLEAR and it turned out really well. I didn't even bother to wetsand.

You didn't wash the calipers well enough before painting so the surface was contaminated and that caused the bubbling (fisheye). After you sand the caliper wash it down completely with a 50/50 solution of water and rubbing alcohol and then dry thoroughly before painting.
