Default FS - 993 Parts and Bits

Well.....after nearly 5 years of 993 ownership, I seem to have quite a collection of spares that I know I am not going to use.

As I am trying to outfit a new to me CNC milling machine, I need to raise some "cash" to get my new mill more quickly into service and making some cool parts.

I thought I would list the items here on Rennlist before I put them on EBay. Hopefully you folks will like some of this stuff.

I think the prices are fair based on recently seen sold items that are the same or similar. However, if there is something you want, do feel free to make reasonable offers as I might move a tad on the prices... OK, here goes (pictures below):

1.) 996tt-S wheels, hollow spoke - Platinum Finish.
The platinum is slightly darker grey than normal.
18X8, ET50 Front, 18X11, ET45 Rear - fits wide body
Excellent Shape, used for about 5000 miles. no center
caps. $1650.

2.) 993tt wheels (OEM), hollow spoke - Speed Yellow
18X8, ET52 Front, 18X10, ET40 Rear - fits wide body
just trued by Wiedmans, some marks from tire removal
great for track "as-is" or get powder coated back to
silver. Matching yellow center caps included. $ 800.

3.) 993tt Cargraphic Intercooler, with top baffle plate
come with new OEM Porsche mounting hardware.
$2450.

4.) 993tt Borla Muffler Set, with NICE Borla integrated tips.
High Heat Coated, Mounted Once - Nice Sound, but too
quiet for my taste. Loved, the look, though.....
$ 550.

5.) 930S OEM Steering Wheel with Hub for 964/993 NO
AIRBAG. New with OEM box. - SOLD...

6.) 993 4 Spoke Steering Wheel with Airbag. Stock wheel
off my MY95 C2. - $100.

7.) RS Fan / Alternator Pulley Hub. New with parts bag.
SOLD...
8.) 993 Tachometer, no OBC. works fine. Removed from my
MY95 C2 when custom tach was fitted. Great core for
guage face conversion.
SOLD...
9.) Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, as sold by Viperbob /
Devek. Used briefly to tune with. - $120.

For more information or to make a deal, please contact me either by PM or directly via e-mail at: jmorton@morton-engr.com.

THANKS !!!!

2 down.

Max, the 930S wheel.
Steve, the RS pulley hub.

That was quick... cool.

For anyone who is curious, here is a picture of my new mill. It is a Deckel FP4NC, universal mill. Great for precision small prototype work !!!

My biggest issue getting this mill into service is that it needs 25A of 380V power. This is about double what my existing 3 phase generator can put out...

Thanks Chris.

Yup, I know about these folks. The converter I like for the CNC's is the Phase Perfect, http://www.phaseperfect.com/products.htm

The Phase Perfect units handle the amp surges from the DC drives really well. The units are about 10 percent more money than the RPC's but are completely quiet, another plus for a small shop.

My issue right now is more one of available "cash" right around the holidays. In addition to the pwer thing, I also want to seal and coats the one last section of shop floor that happens to be where the machine will go. Next spring, I hope to build a 16X16 ft. "annex" to my existing 2 bay shop to house the mill, lathe and the tooling associated with both. Until then, I will lose about 1/3 of one of the bays to this machine.

Cool stuff Jim! Wish I could find a set of 996TT wheels in a narrow body offset for the rears. I understand they were a Special Wishes item.. Love those wheels!!

Also, congrats on the mill! Will you be able to run parts from CAD files?

Chris:

Yes, I am working on getting the CAD to mill program processing down.

For the moment with my smaller 3 phase converter, I can run all X, Y, Z servo controls from program with no or a very slow spindle speed. I have successfully uploaded programs to test various CAD drawn shapes and vectorized script. So far so good. Once the machine is finally placed and leveled, I will connect it to my TCP/IP LAN and start more serious program runs.

The working cube for this mill is:
22X2018 inches

This machine should really help me get some of my designs to reality, much more so than my old manual DRO'd mill. The 3D interopolation is going to be very nice to work with !!!

If Max doesn't take the wheel, I'd like it.

Jim,

Will the Borla exhaust fit on my C2S? Let me know I might be interested.

Thanks,

Scott:

These Borla's are a TT fitment only. I know Borla made NA muffs for widebody, but Borla's are scarce.... :^(

Thanks Jim,

I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one I haven't talked to you in awhile. I went with your suggestion on the Tail and I finally got my car back from Carol's. They did a awesome job on the rear lid and tail. Guy worked some wonders with the piece, it needed a lot of work unfortunately.

I've been drooling over the 996Turbo S wheels, as the color would be awesome on my Glacier White car! They are in great condition!

Jim,

What is the difference between the Cargraphic Intercooler and the Porsche OEM Intercooler? I guess performance wise what is the gain and will it fit if I have the Turbo S tail lid? TIA.

BTW, I also have a set of 996TT-s rims and they are one of my favorite wheels on our 993s.
