Default Just Bought OEM Targa Wheels - Photo

I have wanted to dump the chrome cup wheels that came on the car when I bought it for awhile.

I came across these this morning on the local Craigslist. Very clean with a few slight blems. And best of all, they were only $500.

Now I am on the hunt for black logo center caps.

Love them, of course I am partial to targa wheels. I have the black logo center caps. Brand new, never installed. I decided to stick with my colored ones. They are yours for $25 for the set + shipping.

Damn, great price!

I am often tempted to replace my Targa wheels but a few things seem to stop me:

1 - I like a very clean look (like the old style RUF wheels) and there are not that many wheels that I like enough to buy

2 - The wheels I do like are bloody $$$

3 - The cost of the rubber on 17's is quite a bit cheaper than the 18' and 19's...and the way these cars chew rear tires that's a bonus!

Enjoy the wheels!

Cheers,

Mike

Mike..Prior to leaving to see the wheels I did a "search" and came up with several of your prior postings on the Targa wheels. First thing I noticed was how hard these things were going to be to keep clean ... you did call it. I think I'll really enjoy these. And for some reason the price makes them look even better.

That is one of the reasons I like the clean look....wheels with lots of nuts/bolts or ridges are a pain. I also don't like the "busy" look as well...those wheels with all the cross pattern spokes look way too busy on a car with such clean lines as a 993.

Its just my two cents though...and the cleaning is not that tough!

Cheers,

Mike

Wow, Chuck, that is an incredible deal. Let me know, I'll buy them from you for $600, if you'd like.

I usually mod every car I own but I'm going to stay with the stock wheels on my Targa. They are part of why the car is different.

i totally agree on the targas... never forget when i saw the 993 targa @ the l.a. auto show when new. the wheels we so different then & are even now. though they do look more tame today (b/c of the 18's, etc.) the targa wheel imho is classic. great deal!

If anyone has 4 Targa wheels for sale, I would be very interested.

Great buy. I've become a huge fan of Craigslist. To me, less of a hassle than most of what is on eBay.
