Help Putting a C2S Split Spoiler Together
I bought a C2S split rear spoiler. I just got it back from the body shop that painted it for me. My question is how do you put the four pieces together? I was thinking some type of adhesive but noted that there were studs on the upper pieces that protrude through the lower frame. Perhaps it was designed for speed nuts or something like that.
If anyone has successfully put one together let me know how you did it. With my talents, I am sure if I don’t follow a knowledgeable Rennlister’s instructions I will have a panel will come loose and fly from the car while driving. TIA

If you look on Ebay (I think .co.uk rather than .com) there is someone advertising them from China and they have pictures of the pieces together. Looks like pegs in holes and presumably locking puch-on clip thinggies? Sorry about the non-technical term.

There are retaining clips that press onto the studs from the grill that hold it on. You will notice these when you remove your standard grill. I used a black marine sealant around the perimeter where it makes contact with the lid and the center piece. You must seal it in place. Let me know if you need anything further.

I am looking for this very grill for my car if anyone knows of one for sale..
If it mounts like the std. plastic grill, there are speed nut looking stamped metal star washer thingies that simply press onto the plastic pins. Hope that helps..

That's a nice mod...how much did the shop charge to spray the pieces? The split grill, side skirts and turbo s front spoiler are about the only remaining cosmetic mods left on my list.

I paid about $100 to have my split grill sprayed. It already came prepped from Gerts.

Chuck, I would strongly advise you to get the glue from the dealer,
and apply it as per the manual.
Some have witnessed warping, and it may be caused by using alternative glue.
