a few less miles is a few less bucks on repairs to worn out parts
i'm not driving this car to save $ (that's for sure)

There's the mind game. No more 993 are being made. Who knows how many will be available and how much they will cost when it comes time to "start over"?

That said, I had the same guilty feelings when I got my car a few months ago. However, I bought my car to drive, not to collect or as an investment, so I have slowly been driving her more and more and the guilt is almost completely gone. Keep driving! The enjoyment you will receive will eventually overcome the guilt.

I understand what you are saying.....but I have this friend that really opened my eyes to experiencing the joy of driving a car. He has a lamborghini diablo and a ferrari spider which he alternates as his daily drivers....he has put tons of miles on each and gets a huge thrill every morning when he climbs in and drives to work.
Do whats good for you but dont feel any guilt. enjoy life.

I agree, great post/topic. It is nice to see that I am not to only one to feel some guilt... and you know what, I think it's that little bit of guilt that makes driving it all the more rewarding. Guilty-pleasure!!

My cab is a daily driver and I live in rainy Vancouver. Despite the fact that it gets driven daily, rain or shine, it's well cared for and in better condition than most 993s I've seen on the road.

One should never feel guilty for the pure enjoyment of driving a truly great car. Sure, in the garage the car can be appreciated, but the engineering qualities are only expeerienced at 9/10s. I say drive it.

I think this is a sad post - why buy one of the greatest Porsche's ever made and leave it in the garage ?
