I am too far away to check out the car also but damn, a Vesuvio C2S? I love that color. That car has to be a pretty rare item.

Fantastic decision to buy the car, as I said in an earlier post, I would have bought it sight unseen if I were in the US.
If no one can check, grab a digi-camera, find a way to host pictures on a server, and loads of RL
guys will help you through, I am sure, I volunteer too

Congrats on the car. Someone on here has gone to see it in person already, just can't remember who. Read thru the thread to find out who it was.

I was the one that went and looked at the car. If the PPI checks out, no accidents etc., I'd say it's a sweet deal. From the quick look over I gave it, the paint has typical road rash for that amount for that amount of miles, one scratch on the upper part of the fender. At least one of the wheels had curb rash. One cracked fog light. Interior looked great, I was really surprised. Love that color. Let me know if you have any more questions. Where are you getting the PPI done at?

p&s+purchase and sale
The ppi is being done by Don's Auto works[werks].Do you know these guys? Are you near by? The Car fax was clean.
What do you think typical driving would be out there for what looks to be a commuter car? Car had always been a local car to that area of Cal.

Thanks

I suspect long commutes from areas outside the Bay Area. The drive from Santa Cruz and other points on the coast can be really spectacular. I would bet that this car saw at least 40 miles RT each workday... IMHO, that is a good thing. 140K of open roads is far preferable to bumper to bumper traffic.

Enjoy the car, it is barely broken in!

That is who I would have recommend for the PPI: http://www.donsautowerks.com/

No clue on what type of driving this car could have seen, anything from freeway to city streets I would imagine. Is this a one owner car? Salesman said the white 993 is also owned by the same person. Any info on where the car has been serviced?

I was up that way today and stopped and took a look as I also own a C2S.You got a smokin deal. The car has a stack of receipts including a new clutch @ 134000 miles, valve job @ 55000[maybe used better valves guides than stock, which would last longer].Seems to be all original paint,a couple of dings in the roof and door.Interior is real clean ,for the miles. Correct Hollow spoke wheels. The front is rock blasted pretty good, but this just means a lot of freeway miles and 140 K.Even if for some stupid reason ,you had put 10 k in it,at least you would know exactly what you had at that point. The sales guy said he drove the car said it drove great.Give it a good detail job and drive the heck out of it.

Anyone check out the white C2S while they were out there? Looks like a nice car, I'm curious about its condition.

I didn't dig that deep into the receipts, but with the stack that were there,I would assume that oil changes were done.I don't believe both C2s's at Showroom were owned by the same owner, but they both came from Claridges Porsche dealership in Fremont Calif as trade ins and brokered to Showroom. The white C2s is decent ,if you don't want a sunroof and like white. It has been driven with a few door dings and such.I think it has 69 k miles on it The nicest C2S they have is a 98 black on black Tiptronic with I think 33 K miles. They want 56 k which is way too much for a Tiptronic
