David, David, David...You can't come now? Was up? Wouldn't be the same without you. I heard a rumor we're going to have a warm snap on Nov 19th and it will be sunny and beautiful for the "Meet" .

Ralph - The only way this event won't happen is if there's a:
1) Nuclear disaster
2) 3 Feet of Snow
3) Earthquake in Rockville MD
4) Tornado directly hovering over the meeting spot
5) Hurricane category 5
Otherwise, we'll be there! Look forward to meeting you both then.

David,
I'm going to try. The 993 still has a broken sway bar mount and mushy brake pedal issues from the Summit race, so my steed will be the 997, assuming I don't have to work. I've had to show properties out at the Eastern shore for the past few weekends, the 997 having been a most willing and swift partner.

Broken sway bar mount? WOT.
Mushy brake pedal? My Motive has been at the ready for weeks...

Well, considering that the broken front sway resulted in lap time-killing oversteer and a sway end that ground itself into the hub, resulting in me pulling out of the race and missing the enduro, yes, it was a waste of time by all meaning of the phrase.
I also think my mushy pedal has more to do with a mechanical issue than a fluid one, but I guess we'll see.

What's the definition of OCD? Started to clean and wax the exterior and detail the interior this weekend. I won't drive it for an entire week just to keep it clean as I will be busy next Saturday all day working and want it to be as clean as I can easily get it for next Sunday's "Meet" .
So I checked Yahoo Weather's extended forecast today to see if it would be even half as nice as was today outside (78 degrees and sunny, shorts and sandals weather in November). Yesterday it said 40% chance of rain next Sunday. Bummer.
Not sure how accurate the 6-10 day forecast could possibly be but today it says only 10% chance of rain and 53 degrees. Not too bad for November if the forecasts holds true. A rainy "Meet and Ride" day would be pretty bad. Turnout would probably be 20% at best of what a sunny day would bring.
For now, it's cross our fingers and hope that Yahoo weather is correct.
I just upped the lunch reservation a bit just in case alot of people show up.
November 19th, Sunday
Partly Cloudy
High 53°F
Low 35°F
Precip. 10 %
By the way, I was pulling into a parking garage spot the other day that I don't normally park in and ran my front bumper up on that darn parking concrete block a bit. Would a front protection bar have avoided this scraping to my front bumper? Man I was pi**ed off after I did that.
Cheers,
Steve R
