Do a search but to save you some time you will not find a nicer collection (maybe with the exception of Sloan) - Ray gets top dollar but is prolly worth it - he is a good guy and his cars are awesome - with the exception of that adventurine green tip cab that he prolly still has after several years. These cars came optioned out all over the board - it is time well spent to find one like no other. Good luck.

You just found the car then - he will prolly pay you to take it!! Just kidding, if you are looking for a tip he will most certainly make you a good deal on that car. Tips are great, just not too popular with the enthusiast crowd. Good luck.

i spoke with ray years ago. AFAIK, he owns these cars outright, no interest pressure. his cars are nice and he doesn't budge far from his asking price, regardless of how long he has had the cars. good luck in your purchase.

I've visited with Ray on numerous occassions. His cars are well worth the money and he gets every dollar. Mooty's right. He owns every single car in his warehouses.

If he 'needed' to sell the AV cab he would have discounted it a long time ago. Having said that good luck. I love AV green but not cab nor tip.

Everyone in Houston has their favorite. Rennsport in Sealy is common. Find out where/if Ray will allow you to take his car anywhere. He may recommend '1' person. PM me when he tells you the name. I'm curious if it's who I think it is.

Be careful of that particular car, it really has been there for years ... and I mean YEARS. Can't be very good for it to just have been sitting for that long, unless he drives it regularly.

Hi everyone, as far as I can remember, the Adventurine Green does not belong to Ray. It belongs to one of his clients and Ray is "helping" to sell it (hence the unusually high mileage for Ray's standards, and moreover growing number: I looked at this car end of 2004 and it had 36.5K miles, now it is listed at 49.3K). If you go to RPM to look at this car, it will most likely not be there (because Ray's client is driving it) and you will need to make prior arrangements to look at it. Just my 0.02 cents. But I would highly recommend Ray for pristine / low mileage 993s. I almost bought a 95 Riviera Blue from him, and visited him many times when I lived in Houston.

Default Good Guy

I've known Ray for awhile, 7 or 8 years.....He takes great pride in his reputation and I found him to be realistic about price; however, he often is working on a smaller margin that most would think.....

On a few cars , I wanted to take them to Mike Callas and Ray wanted me to truck them...to avoid a lot of extra miles....I 've considered the GT2 as I know the original owner....Ray's inital offer was very fair, i.e. well below advertised price

As to the '95 cab./tip, at $30,000 would be a good deal....I thought about it for my wife....I would do a PPI or fly down myself....Oh, Ray does have consigment cars at times

I have purchased 2 cars from Ray. My first one was in great shape, my second is now in great shape (read that carefully). Both cars were high mileage cars (80k miles), so not his usual stock.

PPI is a must. Take it to the place in Sealy already suggested by others. I had mine done at Protechnik, and would not recommend them. They missed A LOT of problems with my car.

When I bought my Targa 4 years ago November, he had that green tip cab. It's been there a....long...time.
