I'm not going to be able to make it after all. I'll look to join in on the next run. Enjoy!

Default Brunch - Change of Plans

*** Change of Plans for BRUNCH ***

Hi guys,

I apologize for the change of plans, but it looks like the SkyTop Steakhouse will not be able to accommodate us until 1:30pm, which I think is too late. I had called a few days ago (but before I had a approx. head count), which at the time was fine, but apparently 3 large parties made "official" reservations since then. I really tried with the owner to make it work, but looks like there's nothing he can do unless someone cancels.

However, I was able to find an alternate place up the road. It is called "Family Restaurant". They also provide a breakfast buffet, but for less money @ $10/pp (which includes a drink+tax+gratuity). Children < 9 will be $5/pp. They unfortunately do not have a website, so I don't know how it looks, but was told is more of a diner-type. They will be able to accomodate all of us and we will our own room. Parking will also not be a problem as they have a large lot.

They do not need an exact headcount, so if you change your mind when we get there, that will be no problem.

For now...I will leave the buffet list as it is, unless otherwise noted. I have made the appropriate changes on the master list: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...5&page=1&pp=15

Thanks.

Looks like the meeting spot is in the state of New York, so if I have a car by then I'll do my best to attend!

Thanks for looking it up on google maps, it might just be what gets me permission to go.

I need to ask my grandmother, so add me as a "possible/maybe/trying."

We will be starting from the Palisades Pkwy and end in Kingston, NY with a great brunch. We will be taking a series of back roads with pictureque backdrops that you will positively enjoy. From Kingston, it is an easy ride back home on the NY Thruway or you can enjoy on your own in the town of Kingston. Please allocate about 2 hrs. for the drive. This is actually a route that the Corvette guys recently mapped out, which Bob happily "tested" out for us this past weekend and he thought it was 'perfect'. So...in case they are reading this, just wanted to thank the Corvette guys. I will be providing a copy of the detailed route to everyone on Sunday, so don't worry about getting lost.

I will pass along the message to Bob, screen name on corvetteforum 6spd98. You guys have a good run

For all those with an interest in Sunday's weather for the Tri-State Rennlist Foliage Drive...after a chat with Mother Nature (and a gander at the latest computer models), it appears that clouds will be increasing during Sunday morning, with a chance of showers in the afternoon; rain is more likely Sunday night. No guarantees, of course, as Mommy Nature can be a real mother! I'll get a better read on it Friday afternoon. Too bad I'm working...I'd love to attend and see all the beautiful eye candy. I hope everyone has fun!

I am already on the list but wanted to add my self and my 2 kids (14 and 10) for brunch. Also, my car is a 1983 911SC Targa.
As of this morning we are up 57 cars. Is that commuter parking lot going to be able to handle all of us?

Hey Arrwin,
Any chance you can 'PDF' the route/instructions so that we can download it and print it out for ourselves?
TIA,
Gerry

Hi Ed,

Please do. I actually had registered for the corvetteforum so that I can PM Bob out of courtesy to inform him we will be using his fantastic route. I never got a confirmation that I was registered however.

By the way...you are and Bob are more than welcome to join us! You guys were the pioneers of it afterall!

FYI...I think we met at the Manhasset Concours as you were with Jawad.

Hey dude,

Sorry bro! I know you were wavering between another run, so I didn't want to step on anyone's toes and "assume" you will be making the right decision. You're added! Welcome!

Got you and your sons for brunch. Unless there is another group meeting there, we should have no problems with parking. But wow...I never would or expected 57 cars!!
