Valuation question, im helping a buddy ( i have no vested interest in this),
he ownes a 1996 993 cab, blk/blk, 18-19k miles and great condition, 2 owners.
Car is very stock, no special mods, just had 30k service and new tires, and the roof/rear window serviced and restored.
Whats this worth, b/c he really isnt into the car anymore.

a 95 with 25k miles just sold in atlanta for $33,000.
there is a 95 with 40k miles for sale in new york city for $35,000 or best offer.
another 95 with 25k miles near new york city for $36,500

if the car is in the condition it should be with such low miles,
he should be able to get $35 quick and closer to $38 if he wants to take the time to find just the right buyer.
some dealers ask over $40 for a car like this but that is pie in the sky price.
summer is over, many cabs popping up for sale.

i have been looking for just the right car for a friend of mine that lives near new york city. he prefers a 1995 but this car may work.
1996-98 possible cel issues.
if your friend is ready for a serious buyer at a realistic price, let me know.

car is in NYC now, but lived in CT most of its life.
Car is a 6speed, 17in cup wheels, basic stock car, and in the condition youd expect for under 20k miles... not clear it would win a concours, but its in excellent condition and i know he just spend $4k on tires, 30k service, roof/window restore , fix a few leaks, etc.

A 19K mile, 6-speed 96, blk/blk cab with new tires and 30K mile service completed is ~definitely~ worth more than $35K. $38k is the quick sale pricing. $40K+ is the waiting, but possible price, especially if your friend wants to hold it to spring.

Don't let your friend give it away. But if he does, call me.

it's all about how long you are willing to wait and how much expense you want to put in to marketing.

$38K-$42K That's a very low mileage car and an excellent color combo.
Black 993's have more HP and are much faster than the other ones. Chris

I saw a 95 on eBay with with 22K miles that won several concours and sold for 44.5K. Bottom line, there are specific cars and condition that are getting strong prices.

sellers that have been asking big money through the summer are lowering the prices to get them gone.

if you are a serious buyer and ready to go, you will meet a serious seller.
many sellers are tired of dealing with wanna be buyers that dont follow through.

Of course each car is it's own, but IN GENERAL, do coupes bring higher resales than cabs??? Again, IN GENERAL???
