Oh no, not this Porsche.
I was cleaning my C4S in the garage yesterday. A couple neighbors stopped by to talk and drink a beer or two while I worked. With a beer in my right hand, I went to pull a rag from a wall hanger without realizing it was stuck under two brooms. When I pulled, both brooms fell toward my Porsche. Without thinking, I switched hands with the beer, grabbed one broom out of the air then blocked the second with my foot, all without spilling a drop of beer. It really did seem like slow motion as I was doing it.
My neighbors said if they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they'd never believe it could be done.
Guess I had some real incentive to move fast, and the remnants of once quick reflexes.

I did have to drop the rag. Definitely a low priority item. I hadn't thought about it but this probably could make a good beer or Porsche commercial. You could have about 5 or 6 items all falling toward a Porsche at the same time then the guy catches them all with hands, feet, teeth, and anything else at his disposal.
Looking back, it's amazing how fast the brain can evaluate a situation, devise a strategy, then move the body to act on it. Nothing turned green for me, but it did seem like the brooms were both falling in slow motion. I caught the first one pretty quick but the second was well on it's way to my fender when I blocked it with the foot. Obviously the 20 years of table tennis has helped my hand eye coordination as well, but I definitely dodged a bullet on this one. Needless to say, I've reorganized my cleaning supplies and the brooms.
