Default New Turbo S wing from Group buy

Well its installed and I put the badge on tonight. I really love the new look! Thanks Tony for organizing the GB. Now if I could only figure out how to reduce that pesky gap between my tires and the fenders.

Wish you didn't show us your new look. Now I'm really moving towards the same wing. Always liked this wing design, streamline and clean looking. Adds just enough character to the rear without being too cumbersome. Also looks great with guards red. Nice work. Is the group buy still active and who was the source?

If you want to lower your height without swaping out suspensions, there is a shop in Indiana that makes perches that can be used with OE shocks that will allow as much as a 2 inch drop of the springs. But I understand they may not be compatable with Bilsteins. They cost $90 each.

Last toy,
The supplier was MA Shaw (a sponser). The quality of the tail was great. The group buy is over but it cant hurt to ask Mike Shaw what kind of price you can get.

That is interesting about the perches... I have never heard of that. I may have to just start photoshopping all of my images before posting.

If you load 300 lbs over each wheel your car will drop to almost the proper height.

And for that advice you're most very welcome

Another happy MA Shaw group buy recipient. Notice that the original turbo under louvers can be made to fit... making the wing look quite factory:

Cool The perches ain't that simple...

..."there is a shop in Indiana that makes perches that can be used with OE shocks that will allow as much as a 2 inch drop of the springs"..yes you can install front perches because the strut bodies are threaded...BUT, the rear shocks are NOT threaded...as a result, you can lower the front but not the back. I suppose this was OK back in the 1950's when folks used to "rake" their cars.

Martin, my 964 rear shocks are threaded and have about 10 full turns left as did my front struts. Do the 993's all come with stock shocks that do not have adjustable perch threads or do I have coil overs. I assumed my 964 suspension was original and I can't remember what my 95 993 had since I never changed out the shocks.

Steve, is that a MA Shaw Turbo wing you have, looks great. I assume you mean the factory speed activated wing moves in and out of the add-on Turbo wing. Exactly what I am looking for.

Don,

I "had" a 993TT factory wing on Rufus. I took it off and replaced it with the MA Shaw Turbo "S" wing. I was able to reuse the underlouvers from my factory wing on the MA Shaw wing. I am not sure about the speed-activated thing... Rufus is a turbo and can't use that sort of tail. If I had an NA car, I would either buy a set if underlouvers (if you wanted the "factory" look), or just put a wire mesh screen under the grill if you didn't care. Have I answered your question?

Yes Steve, didn't realize you had a Turbo. Performance Products has an RS 3.8 wing that looks like your Turbo wing and should fit my 964 pretty well. You have a great looking car, love the wine color. My next car will probably be a 993 turbo, as I really enjoyed my 95 cab. Keep that in mind if you plan to sell yours. I also belong to the good ole boys over 50 club.
