Which of these three 1995 993 would you buy?

#3. I know the car personally and support the claim that it has never been tracked. The owner is a real gentleman and a long time PCA member. The car is setup nicely with most of the work done at Devek(Viperbob). I agree with the comment that it may cost you more $$$ and time if you buy a stock car and upgrade with the same mods. Regardless of which one you choose, don't forget the PPI.

If you want to track it go w/1 not 3...miles won't matter much on a track car and the extra $$ in your pocket will quickly be used up in tires/fuel/brakes/helmet/etc...
For a cruiser, fun car or if you have never owned a cab, by all means try it. It is a blast.

i'm curious why so many people are choosing #3 over #1...it can't be the LSD, because that is probably worn out by now anyway, and it can't be the turbo look wheels because #1 has the better wheels. it isn't the color (they are the same)...so i guess it is because it has fewer miles?

yeah, and for the same $ i might too...but there is a pretty big diff in price there (enough to pay for a top end rebuild!) and the car with more miles already has a new clutch (the other thing you figure might need to be taken care of w/that many miles)...

Mileage is over-rated. The actual "miles" a vehicle has traveled are but one of the many factors needed to be taken into consideration when you look at a car. The problem is people often associate mileage with all-around wear and tear. In some cases it can be accuate. bit not all conclusive. I've seen Porsches that have 100K+ in far better shape than a few Latte/Lease cars on the market. I put more emphasis on records and general history than simple stated mileage on a classified ad.
Mileage is an "indicator", nothing more.
Porsche, more so than other makes, seem to do quite well into the 150K+ if properly cared for.
I just so many people would not be scared of looking at cars with 70/80/90K on the odometers if everything checks out.
FWIW, my first 911 had 238,000 miles on the odo and ran like a champ.

Only you can decide whether you want a cab or a coupe.
The ask on all three is on the high side. #3 is set up nicely, but you can get a varioram car for that money, and do you really need or want the PSS9s and TRG bars?
#1 looks nice too, and has had some pricey work done, but IMHO is on the wrong side of $30 for a 95 with 90k on it.
my $0.02

You'll find that having all those good things added makes the car the best value.
Trying to add the stuff later will end costing you much more.

Eric bought his former 993 with 90k on the clock on purpose because at least it was a 'driven' car meaning things didn't sit and rot away and cause other problems that need addressing.
I think people shy away from higher mileage 993s because they just don't realize that 993s are pretty much bullet proof and expect there to be huge expenses with higher mileage ones (which doesn't seem to be true IMHO)

when I bought mine, I was dead set on having a coupe. When the car found me, all the ducks were in a row, transmission, options, condition, price, the only problem.... its a cab! well I bought the cab, and I can not picture myself without it, it is the best feeling in the world. when I buy my next Porsche it will be a cab, and after that, a cab. when you get a cab, you will wonder why you ever considered not having one.
