Why ruin a classic collectable like that? Besides, I'm not made of $$$, lol. Not to mention all the features it has I don't want. If anything I'd buy an RUF and put a 959 rear on it but even that would be wrong...

I just don't like the rear spoilers on those though. Plus I could do my entire project and then some and be thousands less than buying that.

I'm going into the academy for the California Highway Patrol and it requires me to live at the academy outside Sacramento for 6 months. About 2 months after I finish that and get settled where my assignment will be, I'm going to start.
I've done a perfect job of taking care of everything so that while I am at the academy I will have no bills, all of my pay will go straight into my money market account. I'll be using most of that to pay for the parts I'll be using. I'm going to be doing all of the work myself in my garage. It will probably be slow going at first because I still have to maintain my other cars and be a father to my kids around my work schedule, which for the first year I'm sure will suck unless I get lucky.
Basically I'd say about 9-10 months until I start. While I'm at the academy I'll be searching for the Glacier White, 6-spd, Black interior 97-98 C2 or C2S that I'm going to use. Whatever I buy will need to be in perfect condition in all ways so that may be a tough task considering what I'm looking for. I'm going to be doing the 959 rear, CTR2 front clip, RUF 19" wheels, MA Shaw +2" front fenders, & paint first. Then I'll just enjoy the car until either the engine starts to go or the suspension, meanwhile I'll be adding little things like all the other RUF parts in their catalog. Hopefully atleast a year or so of this will go by. Then I will rebuild whichever of those 2 go first, engine or suspension. I plan on a complete RUF Bilstein suspension and RUF brakes, along with things like a manual steering rack, shock tower brace, etc. Engine wise I'll be either doing a top-notch N/A rebuild or going TT. My goal is with 450@the wheels N/A or 600 TT'd. It really depends on which of the 2 ideas has the best $$ Vs HP&TQ ratio. I'd love for 500 N/A engine over a TT'd setup anyday but I don't know what that will do to my reliability. I'd like to go 6-7 years between refits with an average of about 6K miles a year. I have to admit, I'm not very familiar with the 993's engines in particular at this time but I plan on being a sudo-expert by the time I begin the rebuild.

The engine won't go unless you are buying one with *well* over 100k miles on it.

Great to hear. Atleast I can plan on having to do the suspension first then

Front Bumper
I have done searches but can't find a post covering this - the various bumper choices for a 993. The following are ones I am familiar with. The red GB front is particularly interesting as I think it is an RL car, but can't find where I got it. Are there other fronts I am missing? I do realize that splitters change the effect, but I am more concerned with the bumper.
