I'm glad you guys posted - I'm in the market for a quality timepiece. I'm thinking Tag Heuer McQueen Edition Monaco (blue face). Anybody have one of these? Also looking at the Limited Edition Gulf version with white face and orange/blue vertical stripes.

Thank you, I love the watch. It is an amazing complication, performing split times with the bi-level sweep second. You have to see it to believe the mechanism. Pretty rare, and no longer made.

Gordo, Blue Monaco no question.

Robin: If your watch is off 5 minutes a month, it may be time to send it to the RSC, Rolex Service Center and have it regulated. It should only lose or gain 5-7 secs a day. How old is your Rolex GMT II? Have you ever sent it in to be regulated? Just a thought... It should keep great time, plus it will come back looking brand new from the polishing they perform.

Here's mine. Ahhhh, watches. One of my favorite subjects.
Rolex Daytona bought 1 month ago:

Rolex Yachtmaster: 5th anniversary gift from my wife 15 months ago:

and these are not my pics...but a gent by the name of Jocke from Timezone.com

and Daytona pics...

Here's a scary one of Tara Reid:

Here's one that's NOT Tara Reid, thankfully...

If you're into watches... you need to check this out - Timezone.com. Someone here turned me onto Timezone last year and I have found a second home...

that is a lot. a modern quartz movement will only gain/loose that much a year.

I love it. The dial changes color depending on the available light - sometimes it's a deep blue and sometimes a marine gray.

Steve,
"Step away from Timezone!" I repeat, "Step away from Timezone!" Almost as addictive as Rennlist.....

Nice pictures - especially the last one

- Brad Pitt wears his Daytona to time the duration of his marriages.
- Tara Reid wears her Daytona to time how long it was since her last 'wardrobe malfunction.

Wearing my newest, a Rolex Daytona look alike from Tudor. A now defunct Tiger.

I have a Nike with altimeter and other crap on it from Costco that I wear on the bike, running, working at the job or in the yard, and anywhere except swimming (I don't like to wear watches when I'm working out in the pool). Have an old Seiko that my wife gave me when I was an intern and she was barely employed, so that's a keeper.

If I were to buy a fancy timepiece, I'd keep an eye out for that Tag monaco something-or-other with the belt drive. I think that is pretty cool, but I don't believe it is yet available.

However, I have a hard time justifying the $$ on a watch. I am fairly hard on them. I'd rather spend it on my family, a bike or renovating my house.
