911C2,

Thanks. The MotorSound airbox has chrome trim at the inlet, compared with the plain abs (?) of the standard box. My understanding is that other than the chrome trim, the airbox has holes in it that cannot be seen without removing the airbox.

If you want a pic of the chrome trim, I can shoot one in the morning and post. Or I am sure someone has one at their fingertips.

911C2, here is a pic of someone I don't remember the name which posted this, time ago about transforming his airbox to something close to the motor sound:

I have no pics of the motorsound box in stock. I'll make one this afternoon

I think that is the motorsound box as it has the chrome trim on the air intake trumpet.

The airbox pictured above has been converted. It does not have the hole pattern of the motorsound box from Porsche (at least not like my original box).

Thanks for posting. Do you guys know if one can just drill the solid box ang get the same results or is it safer to order the motor sound box. I like the chrome but I can live w/o it. It the sound I'm after.

Thank You again

Just drill the box. The pattern for the holes is imprinted on the inside of the airbox. Grab a beer and a drill and have at it.
