Those big pipes on the back are coffee cans. Next time you're at a light just ask them: "Are you running Folger's or is that Maxwell House?
Not too many ricers round here in SB and the few of them that there are have already have probably been spanked by one of the numerous P-cars that reside in my town so they leave me alone.
Now it may just be the menacing looking black on black with the shiny bling-bling 3 piece wheels and RS splitters/turbo-S ducts that scare them away or maybe the sound of that sweet 993 motor hooked up to Mille Miglia mufflers with a drilled airbox that "talks the walk"?

Nah its not people who want to race out here its tailgaters. I just get furious when I get tailgated by anyone (non-ricers included) on the freeway and there's someone in front of me and to the sides with no place to go. I've already been rear-ended once by some clown and its not because I'm cutting in front of people or doing anything stupid. When I get room I absolutely leave tailgaters in the dust until I find a nice comfy right hand lane I can slow down and cruise in. I'd say the problem is definately more about tailgaters out here vs. ricers wanting to race.

I was doing my usual Good Healthy Speed around a big sweeping freeway transition ramp, and this big black SUV (that had been hanging with me up to this point) was suddenly falling back in my rear-view, leaning very badly around the curve. Pretty amusing.

That's the only other favorite car that I've owned in my life. But mine was a lowly 86 MR-2 with sports package, no supercharger. During those years I was working at a Toyota dealership and always loved to take a SC MR-2 to zip it around the parking lot.

That always reminds me of Navy destroyer doing a high speed turn, OK in a ship but sucks for a vehicle.......lol

Default Big wing & surprise...

I think the big wing theory is right. Wirh a 97' 4S the looks (and the sound of my modified exhaust) scare most.

The interesting thing is that I've only been teased (and I gave in) twice, once by a 96 turbo 993, and just 2 days ago by a new M5. I think their knowlege of the power of a 4S made them over confident...

I do not like to pass cars when 'playing', I like to keep everything in my view and under some control. But I wish I had seen their faces when I stayed on ther rear bumper and played with them.... (I have around 370hp to the wheels with a custom SC... , I LOVE torque and no lag! ).

Me Too! I had a midnight blue '87 w/ T-tops. I modded that thing to the hilt, including a Frankenstein project that revolved around an HKS supercharger. My wife hated that car with a passion due to all the $$$$ I threw at it and was happy when it went, along with the "ornament" (her term for big tip exhausts) I had uninstalled in my garage) like the one in the pic. That's why I'll be looking at Caymans in a few years - I've been reared on mid-engine fun! (BTW, nice S/C AW11, c993k).

As a Porsche owner, I know and THEY know that I can kick their asses anytime. Feels good to sit on almost 300 hp in a car so well built by German Engineers....I don’t need to proof anything. I think in most cases, they just want to have a look on the beautiful 4S.
Funniest is when my blonde daughter, age 18 and (I don’t know how ) very good looking, is riding with me.......( I’m 45 ) ....all those hateful looks I get then.....an old fart with young girlfriend....
