Thank you Edward. It's not "lowered". It's the European factory M030 suspension. My car is all original 100%, besides the radio and full red C4 rear turn signals.
And I will never, ever change the Cup2 wheels. They look the best on this car, imho.
My view exactly! This is one area (thank goodness) that I've never felt the need to update or upgrade. Love Cup2s, 17"s, and they are so lite!

Yes on all counts!
Back when I got my 993 looong ago, my ultimate dream car, there was a definite trend to go to 18s, and to my favorite 18s the 2001 5-spoke from the 996 always tempted me. These were light, made by BBS, and looked great. But as years ticked by, I realized how absolutely perfect these Cup IIs look on our cars! Indeed they are light, and the extra sidewall the 17s provide are much better suited to daily driving than 18s (and now the trend to 19 and taller, yikes!). Now that I have put a tick over two decades on the car, I am so glad I didn't succumb to the upsize trend! I love the look, love the feel, and the cost savings of buying 17s over 18s was a huge unexpected plus I hadn't expected. OK, ooold pic here, but just for grins and giggles: Attachment 1335615
Porsche pays sh*tload of money to the best designers in the world. They know better what wheels look great on a car. Who am I to change the perfection? I'm just an average guy. I'm sure those designers know better in the Porsche factory. Turbo Twists look good though... but they are factory wheels as well.
But people make modifications to their cars and that's perfectly fine. I've seen some cool wheels but I've never seen better looking wheels on a 993 than Cup2's and Turbo Twists. Never. Of course that's just my opinion. Cheers.

Yes! I love my 17” Cup IIs, and with modern Michelin PS4S I feel we actually gain versus upsized wheels. Oh, and we almost have twin cars, except you have the hotter twin with the lowered ride height.
