I haven't posted many pics of the 993, but thought it was time. Over the past six months I have added a few things:
HD's, Row M030 Springs, M030 Sways (group buy)
Split grill
Bridgestone S02As
Painted rockers
Brake Caliper refresher
HIDs
Clear corners
Painted black "S"
Last but not least.... a rennlist decal
Thanks for looking,
Rob

TRINITONY - thank you.
I looked into painting vs powdercoating and came to the conclusion paint is durable enough. I based this conclusion on searching the threads and a fellow rennlister here in Dayton, OH (akolodesh) who painted his with good success - his looks great after 2 plus years.
I also debated stencil vs decal for the Porsche lettering. I went with the decal as it seemed that it would be easier on my mechanic thus cheaper. I did ask him to clearcoat over the decal to protect it. I purchased six 3" black Porsche decals (only needed 4 but he only sells six) on ebay - cost $9.50.
In the end, the total cost was approx $300 (mechanic's labor, paint, clearcoat, and decals).
I had a hell of time picking the color. Yellow ended up being my first choice, but I was considering silver, black and powder blue. You may have seen that artic silver 993 turbo someone on rennlist recently purchased that has powder blue Brembo brakes - they are quite striking. In the end, I wasn't man enough to have powder blue brakes, but maybe next re-paint.

Rob,
I did the Split Grille fairly recently (as seen in avatar) and just love it. Yours looks great and I assume you are quite happy with it like I am. Did you do the rockers at the same time? Your car is a beauty! Congrats on the upgrades.

I actually did the rockers before the split grill. I came across a few posts here on rennlist where others had painted their rockers (or sills) the body color. While not a big deal, I have always thought that black trim should be the same as the body color. Probably 9 out of 10 people wouldn't notice the difference, but I do.
In any event, the mod devil took me over so I bought the split grill from Gert about two week later and silvered that out too. Almost did the calipers in silver to keep the theme - but decided I needed a splash of color somewhere.
Rob.
