Arrwin,

CT folks may want to meet us on their side of the river and not drive all the way down and across the TPZ. Just a thought...we can certainly set a meet spot at the start of 684 or another route closer to their point of entry.

Do we have a running list of who's coming?

Ok...wasn't sure how far the Palisades was for the CT folks. We will set up a CT meeting point for those folks then.

If any CT folks know of a good meeting point along the 684 please chime in.

Here's the list of people we have going so far. If I have you as going and you will not be able to join us, please let me know.

The wedding doesn't start at 7am, does it?

I will be at Lime Rock on Friday for the Rolex GT practice. I assume one of my sons would be up for a drive on Sunday while the other could keep the wife company at home. I am coming from the upper Hudson Valley so could hook up at the Palisades or Connecticut meeting spot. The local roads around Lime Rock are great.

Sounds like a good time for me and the boy to get our first run in...

What's the route going to be, ....and where on the Palisades Parkway is this Rest Stop located ? (Sorry, I've lead a shielded life up here in the NW Jersey boondocks )

Actually, once I know the route you are planning on following, I can probably shoot across 84 and pick you up somewhere in route.

Default Tri-State Run

28th? Sounds like a plan so long as I'm not oncall.

Which side/rest area on the Palisades Parkway?

And where again are we ending up?

I may be at the 21st event in Danbury.

Let's hope we have good weather!

Regards,
Deanski

Fellas,

Here are the plans so far:

NY/NJ Meeting Time/Spot
Time: Meet @ 7:30 am. Depart by 7:45 am. Hopefully arrive at CT meeting spot by 8:45am. (Please let me know if any of these times are unrealistic).
Meeting Spot: Commuter lot at the gas station by exit 5 on the Palisades Parkway. The rest stop is accessible from both sides of the Palisades, as it's located in the middle of the road.

CT Meeting Time/Spot
Time: Meet @ 8:45 am. Depart by 9:00 am.
Meeting Spot: Tentatively, Manhattanville Road in Purchase at the start of 684.

ROUTE
The run will start at the Palisades commuter lot (by exit 5) and will proceed up the Palisades --> Tappanzee --> I684 (meet up with the CT contingency here) --> Rt. 22 --> Rt. 4 E --> Rt. 7 S.
We will end at a breakfast place to get some food and talk cars. Hope to be here by 10:00 am. After, everyone is welcome to stay to check out the Hemmings Car Show @ Lime Rock or if not, head back home.

Please chime in if you guys have a better route as i'm fairly a rookie at this.

Here's who we have so far. To keep it interesting and so we'll be able to match the avatar with the car, i've added the car you'll be coming with (I think). I also added the meeting spot where you'll probably be meeting the group. Of course, please let me know if any of this is incorrect.

OK..So I will shoot across 84 to 22N and be waiting slong side the road somewhere right after you cross 84 and 684 becomes 22N - probably at Sodom Rd. Shouldn't be hard to pick up a procession of 20 or 30 Pcars

Looks like that is about an hour ride for you guys to that point, 1 1/2 for me, so I'll leave home about 6:30AM. That should put me there abiut 15 mins before you guys.

.....and yes, '03 Boxster; Midnight Blue Metalic/ Metropol BlueTop (hopefully it is down that morning )

One thing to remember... (and only I bring it up because PCA pre-event reminder messaging saved me, and I wasn't even tracking)

On race weekends, Lime Rock and vicinity roads are crawling with troopers.
I went to a PCA event a couple of weeks ago and saw 5 different traps along the way up on the side roads ... 7, 44, etc (starting at 6:45 AM!)

One guy had his Tahoe stopped pulling a trailered 911, and another SUV got tagged (after being followed for 3 miles at the speed limit) with a ticket for a trailer crossing the double yellow. They are just waiting for you to make their day, and a little extra awareness will spare you that hassle.

Good point! We will definitely have to watch out and be alert!
