I will be handing out directions on Sunday.

I couldn't get the exact route but just to get an idea, we will be going from the NJ side and taking the Palisades N --> I-287-->I-684. Everything should be the same from there to Lime Rock.

Here are the details once again...just in case. GREAT job again Arrwin for putting this together in such an orderly fashion!

Updated: 5/26/06

Weather: Sunday, May 28th - High 74° F - Mostly sunny and warm.

******************************************

For those who just tuned in and don't want to read the entire thread, here's what the plans are so far. Please check back from time to time and definitely the day before the run to make sure there are no changes. Thanks!

Here are the plans so far:

Date: Sunday, May 28th

NY/NJ Meeting Time/Spot
Time: Meet @ 7:30 am. Depart by 7:45 am. Hopefully arrive at CT meeting spot by 8:45am. (Please let me know if any of these times are unrealistic).
Meeting Spot: Commuter lot at the gas station by exit 5 on the Palisades Parkway. The rest stop is accessible from both sides of the Palisades, as it's located in the middle of the road.

CT Meeting Time/Spot
Time: Meet @ 8:45 am. Depart by 9:00 am.
Meeting Spot: Purchase, NY on Manhattanville road, which is right off of 684 where it meets the Hutch. There's an office complex with a large lot and easy off/on access to 684 and surrounding roads.
[Map]

Route
The run will start at the Palisades commuter lot (by exit 5) and will proceed up the Palisades --> Tappanzee --> I-684 (meet up with the CT contingency here) --> Rt. 22 North --> Rt. 343 (East/North) --> Rt. 4 East --> Rt. 7 North.
We will end at a breakfast place to get some food and talk cars. Hope to be here by 10:00 am. After, everyone is welcome to stay to check out the Hemmings Car Show @ Lime Rock or if not, head back home.

If you are planning on attending the Hemmings Car Show, here are the details:

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are offereing discounted tickets with the CVR PCA:
To order tickets: Go to www.limerock.com. Go to the TICKETS drop down menu, then
to “Affiliate Ticket Sales.” An Affiliate Log In screen will appear. Our affiliate log-in
information is

Printable parking pass for the corral:
Porsche Corral Parking Pass

Here's who we have so far. To keep it interesting and so we'll be able to match the avatar with the car, i've added the car you'll be coming with (I think). I also added the meeting spot where you'll probably be meeting the group. Of course, please let me know if any of this is incorrect.

add 3 to the NJ mix, I think we will cram into 1 car, my wife, myself and our 9 month old so. The little one is still in a rear-facing car seat, so the wife will need to ride next to him (front seat won't allow a passenger with the car seat behind it....the car is a 1978 911 SC targa with 33,000 original miles.....the alternate is for the wife to drive the targa, and I'll be in the 1969 911 S with 68,000 miles.....I think we will be in 1 car...see you on the palisades!

Hi Aarwin,

I'll be at the Manhattanville Rd./Suny Purchase exit at 8:30am'ish tomorrow morning.
We're game for breakfast too -- so pls. 'add' us to the list of hungry-hippos.

Yep, friggin' superb!

From the donuts at Manhattanville rd. (warming on the whale-tail of YIPS C4S) to the route-switcheroo (more scenic and curvy) to the Hemmings show itself -- an absolutely friggin' fabulous day!

Kudos Arrwin !

Default Missed you guys!

Sorry I did not get a chance to see all of you and join all of you in the run, but the switch install went fine, but getting in contact with THD NOC was the problem. I was on hold over an hour! I got home at 2:00am and since I was already lacking sleep, I got up late.

I was really looking forward to meeting all of you and having you all view my new C2S with Aerocup and PCCB's etc. Man I was pissed-off!

Wouldn't you know... I also found out I'm covering 4th of July weekend as well! For Christ sake, give me a break!

How was the drive and how was the show? It was a wonderful day!

Well, at least I washed her today since I got caught in a rain storm yesterday. Leaf blower came in handy to avoid water spotting.

Hope to join you again!
