Default Karmann Ghia with 993 engine!

Thought this was interesting (saw on the OT board)...Karmann Ghia with a 993 engine. Not bad workmanship.

I saw one of the VW van looking pickup truck one time with a 993 engine. It was actually pretty cool and sounded great.

Well my German is very rusty but picked up about 20% of what they were talking about in the one video. The parts I did pick up sounded awfully cool!!!

Thanks for sharing.

It looks like a lot fun to drive, but a bit pricey! Chris

That is very cool. I remember back in the 1960's hearing of some people who put Porsche engines in VW Bugs, etc.... never saw one though.

Thanks for sharing!!!!

Tom...Right on, I had a 21 window bus back in 1971. What a slug, but lots of fun.

Regarding the promotional video of the road race. You've got to love the part where he hits the "esses" , gets the 2 right wheels in the dirt and starts cursing away - even though he is German, the F-word is clearly universal! Very realistic and understandable, but probably not the best copy material for a promo video, me thinks???
