Well the engine is about 90% complete. Still need to put the stock mufflers back on and fill all fluids. There is some final cleanup to get rid of all the cosmoline (I HATE COSMOLINE). The H&R springs are in. The calipers are being picked uo on Friday. I also got all the TT goodies from Gert including the new shifter and ebrake. Things are starting to progress again. What a process.

Mike,

She's looking great... WOW! What did you use to clean the wheel well (Pic 2)? You'll love that shifter... great work!

Air Kuul:

I cleaned the wells with a high solvent degraeser and then pressure washed off with a 3000 PSI HEATED steamer. Aftyer drying I applied 3 coats of clear.

I second the comment about the shifter. funny how little things like that seem to make the car feel so much different

I am looking forward to getting the shifter and the ebrake in as well as getting this car done. Once again it has been a long process, but I am on the backside of the project. I hope to be done in 2 weeks.

c993k:

It's getting closer. Calipers go on Monday. Goes to body shop on Tuesday for TT parts install and I will put the wheels and tires on after that. I will also put in my sport seats, CF shifter and e brake. I also have a 3 spoke steering wheel just no airbag yet. I am getting impatient since it's nice weather here.

Bogwan:

this one I am going to enjoy B4 I sell it. If I decide to sell. The PCA here has an event at the end of May that brings a good crowd. I will bring it out for that. It better be done by than or I will be PO.

Hey Mark how's it going. Believe me after all the bloody knuckles I've gotten on this thing it should be worth it. I really wish that it would be done for that meeting in MD you guys are having. I would love to show it to you guys after it is done. You guys all saw it the day I picked it up. A world of difference now. My Derby plans got cancelled (yohoo!!) and now I don't have plans. Man I wish it was done I would be up there in a minute (well 8.5 hours I did get a ticket on the way home). Have a good one.

The car looks friggin' fantastic. BETTER than new!
IMHO -- after all that effort and considering how the car looks -- you really should scope out the local concours within 100 miles or so of where u live.
I guarantee you'd win a top prize or two. (Helluva send off too, IMHO)

g_murray:

That's a good idea. It's starting to get good feedback here in L-ville as well. The new pics should start comming quick now since the motor and trans are done. Man when we started that thing up today it roared back to life. We did every concievable service to the motor, trans and car. I was amazed the motor has been out for about 3 weeks and was turned sideways, pressure washed and polished and after the fuel filter was full it fired up and sounded great. I am pumped.
