I could not stay for the banquet since I was too cheap to get a room and was drenched. I did find 1 thing very funny/strange. There was a 993 in the cars for sale lot (for about) and hour that shocked me. It was a nice stock regular 993-Ocean Blue- Nothing spectacular-96 (I think) and the guy wanted 59K.
WOW! - The TT on ebay that is nicely modded is a steal then @ 69K. Hopefully next year (April 28th) the weather will be better. Bob T - Did I see you hauling a red roll bar?

If the car is exactly what someone is looking for, the right color combination, options, low miles and great condition then $59K is not really that bad of a deal, considering the buyer is in a healthy financial situation. You need to look at it from a collector's point of view. What if we are talking about a 67 Mustang? Is that worth $100K?? If they can get $100K for a 67 Mustang then 993's should be worth $250K! It's all up to the reason the buyer wants the car for in the first place. Ever try to buy a car from someone who doesn't really want to sell it? You can double the price and he may still reject it.
On the other hand, I don't think that if Jerry Seinfeld sat on the seat that the car doubles in price but
many other people do. Maybe I'll look up Jerry and see if I can get him to sit in mine. Chris

the sale lot gets slimmer every year, maybe the rain has something to do with it. It seems to be filled with the cars "not to Buy." We needed the rain in South Eastern PA but it made for a disapointing swap meet that is usually a nice event.

I think the venders have accually have gotten better the last 4 years i have been going, at least i have purchased more useful stuff each year. It is the car sale lot that gets slimmer each year, not that i am looking to buy. Hopefuly next year there will be nicer weather with more time to look at p-cars and meet new people.
