Default Outside Temperature Sensor

SO, i got my car back from the body shop, I realized that my temeprature guage rears -40.5 F. Does this mean it's broken in the gauge? Or the sensor? Where is the sensor? Any help is awesome! Also, how can i change it to read in Celcius...instead of dreaded Fahreheit.

The sensor is located in the driver side outside mirror and if the temperature is reading -40.5F that means the wiring has gone open circuit. Did your bodyshop remove the mirrors or doors? If so they may have hooked up the wiring wrong or not at all.

THe did RUF bumpers, and RUF A pillar treatments. They also sprayed the hood, trunk, and front fenders.....so nothing in the door. Hmmmmm.

The temp sensor (AFAIK) is in the front grille, driver side.

You're right, it was moved from the side mirror mounting location as used in the 964.

They probably took it off and left it off. Even if they left it there, you would still get a reading.

No - you can take off the left splitter and reach from underneath. 5 screws and you are there.

Is there also perhaps a fuse that blew to this? Or no?

You should be able to see them through the opening and confirm they are there (or missing). There are two: one for the AC and one for the OBC.
