Where are 993 owners putting Subwoofers
Anyone have this type of set up or pictures of where they are putting their subwoofers? Any other suggestions?
I got this picture from caraudioinnovations.com -no affilation but have been talking to them.

hi,
i did a pretty good install on a targa :
i removed the passenger seat, made some place under the seat (put the 2 electronic boxes on each side, and got some place to put an activ CLARION 303 subwoofer under my wife's ***
I removed my seat, removed this metal plate that support the bosch calculator, put the calculator just as low as i canned, and install an amplifier 4x100W from a german maker AKTON (very good ! ).
I had some troubles with parasites because my filters for the speakers where just aside the calculator.
so I put them under the right seat and put an cupper plate between the calculator and the amplifier.
so, everything is clear now.

I did the subs (JL Audio) from caraudioinnovations as you show along with Focals up front (I took apart the Focal tweeters and put them inside the stock housings), don't remember the rear speakers but they fit the stock grills. The amp, suggested by Rod Burch is mounted on a steel sheet, sits over the DME module under the passengers seat. With a Alpine XM Radio head unit, I am good to go.... Sounds Great!!!! No afilliation, just a satisfied customer.

I had my JL 6W0s exactly where your pic shows them--they sounded awesome. I know that a lot of people think that it's taboo to add weight to your 993, but when it's your daily driver and you take some long trips in it, it's great to be able to crank some tunes from your iPod through your car. Believe me 2x6" woofers properly amped are PLENTY of bass in that small car.

95 C4--my setup was a JL 500/4 channel amp, rear 4x6 Polk Momo coaxials, front 6.5" components, capacitor, Alpine CDA-9835 head unit [MP3 capability as well as the add on XM and iPod adapters]. It gave incredible sound, balanced, clear, and crisp no matter what you played. I had the iPod in the glovebox and could control it through the head unit. It is the best setup I have heard in a long time, and it looked totally stock [bar the woofers behind the driver and passenger seats, but you couldn't see them at all unless you tilted the seats forward]. I don't think you can get much better than that in these cars honestly.

I somewhat sense some people feel that a Porcshe shouldn't have subwoofers? Different strokes for different folks I guess but my stereo sucks and in need of an upgrade. Subwoofer or no subwoofer, it needs an upgrade.
