anyone used laser veil?
This stuff is supposed to put a stealth coating on reflective portions of the car (headlights etc). Wondering if there are any 993 reviews with this stuff.
Im wondering if it lasted as long as they claim, did it discolor the headlight lenses greatly, could it be removed easily?
I was hit with LIDAR (laser bike cop) in Carlsbad yesterday, fortunately I saw him and slowed prior to him hitting me. I shed about 20 mph before the escort x50 started going nuts!

No feedback, just commiserating, bummer. I got a ticket in Carlsbad a few years back, back on Cannon. They must make a lot of revenue on tickets there, the bastards (beat it though since the guy didn't show up to court!). I started driving w/ cruise control just to make sure.

Yup I was on cannon - they like to hide out in a paved driveway on the north side of the road just after ECR going to the 5. Your avatar looks like you were having some fun at Willow springs. I will be there tomorrow, getting out some aggression so I can keep it near the speed limit going back and forth to work.

I can see this will require a volunteer... one of us has to smear this stuff all over the front of our 993 and blast by a laser speed trap. Anyone?
personally, I'm thinking about one of those radar and laser combo jammers for $500. Pretty convincing video on the website...

VEIL doesnt work...I have tested it on several car against several police laser guns and VEIL offered no protection what so ever. Just insvest that $100 into a quality laser jammer.
Here is a pic of VEIL that I put on my headlites on the outside, since I have done this same test before with the LTi 20/20 Compact laser gun but this test was done with VEIL on the inside of the glass lens so both sides had VEIL. At the range of 2,000 feet VEIL offered no protection and there was instant punch thru with a speed reading and distance. VEIL is complete waste $$$$ and can possibility ruin your headlite lens. Do your research and just invest in a quality laser jammer that works.

this is what I have www.laserprotector.com. I have 1 head up front and 1 head in the rear over my rear plate. My LPP works so well I go looking for laser traps and have fun with the local cops shooting laser..Fun, Fun.
Also the Laser Pro Park just got picked best Retail laser jammer on the market that you can purchase and it was tested by Guys of Lidar 2007 Radar Detector and Laser Jammer Tests that was just completed. (GOL).
Here are some videos of the laser pro park in action against actual police laser traps. Enjoy...

Based on those videos - and the comment about going "looking for laser traps and have fun with the local cops" - it is clear that the cops know something is fishy. Or worse, they know exactly what's going on. Aren't you risking getting pulled over on suspicion of illegal equipment? Even if they can't stop you for that, they can stop you for speeding based on their judgement of your speed regardless of the ladar reading, then they will find your jammer. They surely know what to look for. Seems pretty risky, just so you can go an extra 10-20mph on the street.

Thanks for the links on the park pro! Looks like the laser interceptor is a great unit as well. Does the laser park have the ability to shut down after initial targeting to police? Wondering since some states (CA) jammers are illegal, but if there was something to shed mph then allow lock so it doesnt look too suspicious.

At 2000 ft or even 1,000 ft. looking through a scope of HUD a laser gun and having a red dot on my car or on any other car the LEO cant tell if your speeding at those distance's anyways. Laser traps are made for revenue and when he cant get a reading on my due to me jamming him, I've already slowed down to the posted speedlimit if he wants to shoot me again. In the laser guns there are built in Error codes because police laser guns are not perfect because its dealing with light, operator error can cause a error code, a shape of a car can cause a error code, the sun can cause a error code, rain, light or heavy can cause a code, so numerous things cause error codes and the cop's know that and dont suspect anything when he shoots my car at those ranges.
Yes the Laser Interceptor did the best but it was not a retail version, it came from the factory more powerful then normal and the same for the AL8. It will do about the same as the LPP when in retail version and that was only 1 head being tested for those 3 Diode laser jammers (Laser Pro Park, Laser Interceptor and Anti-laser).
