Default Shape of oil dipstick ??

The oil dipstick on my '95 993 has a curve to it. Is it supposed to be like that or is it supposed to be straight??. Thanks

If you mean twisted, yes they are twisted towards the end of the dipstick.

I think he meant that there is a curvature to the entire dipstick when you hold it out laterally....not rigid and straight like a typical ds...this is because it is long and flexible and needs to follow an indirect path...yeah baby.

Yes, dipstick has the twists b/t the low and high for the oil level, but when you pull it out it has a significant bend to it. Not straight at all.

If it's too rigid and completely straight don't force it in or you'll poke a hole in the oil tube!

If the dipstick is curved and also has a noticeable spot, you might just have one of the very rare factory Michael Jackson Collector Edition 993's. If so, hang on to it - no pun intended...
