Cool. I'm glad they turned of the music so you could hear the car after the first couple minutes.

I didn't see any difference between the snow covered track and a typical Ohio commuter trying to negotiate 1" of fresh snow on the road.

Okay, more Ohio drivers get stuck in the ditch.

Oh, the hours it's going to take to clean and detail those cars!

I wouldn't say it's a dream job. The chances are, the guy behind the wheel is one of the following:

1) independantly wealthy and rallies his GT3 as a hobby

2) earns **** money by driving that GT3 for a small team

Either way, driving that car is not earning him a living. He's probably paying a ton of money for the privelege of getting behind the wheel - such is the reality of motor racing.

Hey thanks for the link!!! Those views were taken this january during a Belgian car Rally which is know as "Les Boucles de Spa". The yellow white black GT3 is driven by Marc Duez a Belgian pilot. The car is developped by a Belgian private company. I think they have 2 cars this year. The snowy track portion are on the Spa-Francorchamps track. I'll try to find more infos this evening.
Cheers

If its (1), then its not a job... its hobby and I'd be glad to have that opportunity.
If its (2), then its still a dream job irrespective of the salary..

Pretty cool video, thanks for sharing.

Is it the same guy on snow & on dry roads & gravel?

If it's the same guy, his snow driving needs a lot of improvement if he plans to be succesful in any meaningful way but the asphalt & gravel driving was much better.

To me, the coolest part was hearing that awesome engine in so different way that how you usually hear it when he was pumping gas on snow, that was great!

I agree on the hobby, that's awesome.

But as much as I love racing, I would not be happy earning a crappy living as a sportscar driver. If motorsports became my life and livelihood, I would not enjoy it. Most of those paid drivers love motorsports more than even hard-core enthusiasts (like me), so much so that they're willing to devote their entire life to it. They're happy as long as they can race, and good for them - I couldn't do it! It might seem like a glamorous ideal lifestyle, but the reality is much different.

Better to be wealthy and do it as a hobby, methinks....
