I think it would take alot of fabrication to put the intercoolers in the fenders and have a "flat" rear deck.
IIRC, the trade off for having the IC in the front is that it's not quite as effective??
The trick is, it's no air-air intercooler as the factory 993TT, it's air-water, the intercooler per say is right above the intake manifold (clever installation), the radiator is located in front (as it should) but this shouldn't affect performance. The article failed to stress the novelty of this solution.
The whole thing just seemed totally illogical to me.
Please do not even think about bringing logic into automotive investment, buying a 993 to begin with is far from logical. Heck, a nicely massaged 951 will annihilate any NA 993 for half the money, and you bring logic into the picture?! C'mon!! For many, me included, the rear spoiler of the TT completely ruins the look of a timeless design and for the enthusiast with the means, why not further optimize the look/performance?! I think it's brilliant!
