Pics of my car and my BBS RE wheels
I took a few snap shots of my car over the weekend. Just wanted to share my week old wheels with you guys. BBS RE forged wheels. 18x8.5 front (56mm offset) and 18x10 rear (65mm offset) wrapped in kumho MX's 225/40/18 and 265/35/18. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the kind replies guys. I'm loving the look as well. I spent about a whole year going back and forth trying to decide what wheels to get. I was leaning towards Volk Racing TE37 wheels because of their advertised 18lb weight (skeptical, maybe for an 18x8.5 wheel, but not for an 18x10), but I could never find a picture of them on a 993. In the end, I didn't want to leave the look up to chance, so I went with the tried and true; BBS. Thanks to a fellow rennlister who posted up pictures of his red 993 with RE's. As far as the ride quality is concerned, there's not much difference from the 17's. I did notice the steering is a little lighter (surprised) though. Cornering is a little more sure footed, no doubt due to less sidewall flex. Getting rolling from a complete stop is a bit easier now as well.
David - The wheels weigh 20.1 lbs for the 18x8.5 and 21.8 lbs for the 18x10. With tires, the fronts weigh about 42 lbs front and 45 lbs rear. The kumho MX's are acutally a relatively light tire. The RE's are actually a tad on the heavy side for a single piece forged rim...something to do with the design of the hub area and the forging process hindering BBS from making it any lighter. In any case, without getting into a debate about moments of inertia, etc., a significant amount of material seems to be at the center of the wheel, which is a good thing. Besides, I figured I needed something as strong as possible to withstand San Francisco roads, hence the decision to go with a single piece "lip-less" wheel. Piece of mind is invaluable.
Chris - The wing does impeed the rear view mirror a bit, but that can be minimized by setting the adjustable blade to the least aggressive position. I have it at the most aggressive as it stands.
Mark - The rocker panels are the OEM aero ones.
Thanks again everyone for the kind words.
