I use the extension combo I mentioned above along the top of the starter and then down slightly towards passenger side. Working mostly from the passenger side wheel well. Don't remember which hand.
I used the extension along the top of the starter, then a universal joint and then a short extension to be able to angle down past the end of the starter.
Lying on my back (feet to the rear of the car) I used my left hand above the starter to hold the extension/ratchet in place and right hand on the ratchet handle. Getting the right combination of extension lengths was the trick.
Just got it out, from the passenger side using straight 6 in extension with the hex bit. My extendable ratchet helped attaching to the extension a little easier. Right hand over the trans to keep the hex bit in place, left hand pulled the ratchet. was skeptical as it was so tight yesterday but it look little force today. I did spray wd40 yesterday so I think it helped a lot.
