Need a PORSCHE Fix...
Before I beg for a Porsche can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the passenger side mirror on my 95’ 993? Is it possible to just replace the mirror / glass? Do you have a part number?
I’m heading down to the Tampa area in February for a week, is there anyone on the list that needs someone to baby-sit their car? Since I’m flying down from the land of snow and ice I need to get a PORSCHE fix. Seeing as all I can do right now is continue working on my car and dream of driving it. All 1998 or earlier Porsches accepted. I’ll trade some time with the car for a wash and wax J
Also since I’m in the Tampa area can anyone recommend some great spots for a car / bike enthusiast to visit?

according to PET 964 731 036 00 RL/R mirror glass plain
I've never done it. For what I see in the PET, the is a screw at the base of the mirror housing, outside of the mount position. This could be the "key" to access the system.

I don't think you'll find any RLers excited about loaning out their Pcar
Personally, I wouldn't want the responsibility of borrowing a stranger's car anyway!
BTW, yes there's one allen-key bolt on the outside part of the mirror, loosen that to get the mirror off the door. After that, don't know...

OK this is how I got the mirror and mirror glass off of the car. By popping a little black plug off of the top of the mirror I was able to use an Allen wrench to take the mirror off of the car. In order to get the mirror out of the frame you just need a small straight screwdriver. If you look at the bottom of the mirror you will see two holes, in one of them you'll see a plastic part that king of looks like a gear. Use the screwdriver to turn pry that part to the next few gear teeth and then just put a little pressure behind the glass and it will come off. What you are doing by moving the gear is aligning the release holes up inside the mirror.
P.S. You could do this while the mirrors are mounted to the car.
