Did anyone buy 'the ultimate cupholder' and NOT like it? Got it 4 sale?

My wife always brings a Starbuck aluminum coffee canister into my 911 and my BMW and there's no where for her to put it so she puts it next to the passenger mat wedged against the center console area. Sometimes it spills out, though usually it's just water. Sometimes it's tea. Not good. I am contemplating getting this for her side of the 993:
Here's one in a Boxster:
I would only use it in the passenger side, and their website said "Porsche 911 993 before 99 E34 Appears applicable. Porsche - 993 uses new version. Available now on a limited basis. Please contact me for information."
Here's how it would look in my "7"
From their website: "Simple, functional, one-piece design.
Designed to naturally accept drink containers - drop things in, and they center and stay in place.
Unbreakable! No moving parts, no fragile little pieces to break.
Quiet! Die-cut felt lining eliminates rattles.
Low mounting position provides for improved safety and reduces potential for launching of contents in the event of an accident.
Solid all-metal, stainless steel construction.
Precision CNC laser cut, then formed and finished by hand.
Nice brushed-stainless steel finish.
Available in stainless/black, stainless/light gray, and by special request, other standard interior colors."
Are you guys still thinking this is the best bet for a cupholder in a 993?
I just use a Nalgene bottle filled with water and leave it under the rear passenger mat for my part, so I don't need one on my side.
From the Nalgene website: "Extremely durable
Resistant to staining
Resistant to retaining odors
Recommended for "extreme" adventures
Dishwasher Safe (top rack only)
Withstands temperatures from -135ºC (-211ºF) to 135ºC (275ºF)"
Most importantly: Does this "ultimate cupholder" impinge on passenger leg room? Do your passengers complain about it if it's there on their side?
Thanks in advance. I'm almost sure I'm getting one for my BMW, I'm just kind of up in the air about getting one for my 993 for the passenger side due to tight leg room.

dhicks - Was it the Ultimate Cupholder you are referring to or the Air-1 that you bought and liked? I'm assuming you were responding to my original queston about the Ultimate, right?
rassel - I already have this tray where the cassettes used to be, so I can' put a cup holder there. I use the tray for my sunglasses and change
Rob 97 - The nalgene bottle mounts to nothing
It just rests under the rear passenger floor mat but when my 11 year old sits back there, it has to go under my floor mat next to the middle console - not exactly safe if it rolls to the front near my feet! That I don't think has ever happened though. Still, it's kind of funky when I have to put my nalgene bottle under my front mat.

Hi Steve,
I bought two of the ultimate cupholders for my Boxster S, but I have a tiptronic, and I found the cupholders a little challenging to mount and wondered if they were somehow contributing to some odd behaviour I was noticing when sliding the shifter back and forth from auto to manual mode. I'm not using them at the moment, and could probably cut you a good deal.
I also bought two his 'universal' cupholders designed for the 993, and found that they work better, although I was occasionally bumping my foot into them, and removed the driver's side and just kept the passenger side in.
Drop me an email or a PM.
Best regards,
- rick

Hey Rob - I'm not sure how the ultimate or air-1 mount... I'd have to order it and read the instructions.
rick: I'm not sure about using the ultimate in my 993 yet, but I'm definitely ordering it for the BMW. I have to do a little more research on the "ultimate" one vs the air-1 cupholder.
Is your Boxster cupholder different than the 993 one?

I have the Air-1 in my 993 . . . and love it. But I'm still searching for a good solution for our Dinan 7 . . . the stock cupholders in the dash are WORTHLESS.

Just ordered the ultimate cupholders for my BMW but am waiting on the 993. The ultimate cupholder gent said he's working on a new one 993 that should be ready in the next few weeks. I might go with the air-1 though instead...

Steve I was referring to the ultimate as you have pictured....it is installed in 2 minutes, can be removed in 30 secs and you do not have to drill or damage any part of the interior....
