If this is true, then Porsche should fire their engineers and hire this guy. 10% gain for $50? Pure, undiluted BS.

Default Only applies if something is already wrong.

Assuming the wires in a car are the correct size so there is no voltage loss in the wiring, and assuming there are no cuts in the insulation where the voltage is jumping to ground, then the maximum available voltage and current will be available at the plug tip. I further assume that the Porsche engineers designed the cables to be the correct size. Therefore, the grounding issue as far as increased HP, is total BS. Just what you guys said.

However, if someone has undersized aftermarket and/or cracked insulation plug wires, then just replacing them with new stock plug wires will provide the same benefits this guy claims.

Some of you guys are missing a key part of the original post/claim. Not only is it a 10% power gain for $50 and an improvement in fuel consumption, "the mod actually increases the life of the engine..."!

Group buy???????

Maybe...I'll e-mail him and ask him if it also eliminates clogged SAI ports. This could be the holy grail of all mods by far!

I believe the last part. You put it in, your car won't start, and voila your engine life gets extended.

I'll take a set for each of my cars. Amazing what some people will spend money on. Wow, if you buy these wires, a K&N filter, Fabspeed mufflers, and chip the car your 993 should be pushing 325hp.

If you simply think about doing those mods, you get the same 325hp!

I believe Motor Miester sells this kit for 100 bucks and they'll install it for 300.

Is he also indexing the spark plugs? That's an old racing trick thats supossed to maximize the spark location and combustion.

As for grounding, it does work in specific applications. On my M/C, there are lots of interruptions in the power supply and grounds to the coils, connectors, etc. A common mod is to re-wire with direct connections. Quicker starts, less plug fouling, etc. Don't claim that it gains power, but it is better reliabilty.
