Default Old Yeller Gets Buff PICS B4 and after

Pic 1 is the Trizact DA sander used with 1500 dry and then followed by 3000 grit wet.

Pic 2 is the hood sanded with 1500 grit and 3000 grit

Pic 3 is the car after being buffed and hand glazed

The pics really dont do it justice, but you can see the results in the finish.

Looking good! I love speed yellow, and that looks like brand new (except the bumper, is that a little faded perhaps? Just a bad angle?)

I remember someone raising a question as to whether this process would work on a clearcoated paint... Is it true that some colors did NOT have clearcoat? If that's the case, would my black car have clearcoat?

I think the idea was that the front bumper and rear deck would not get the treatment because they were going to be replaced. I'm glad for that; you can see the contrast very clearly. Interesting stuff; not something the typical wash-the-car-on-Saturday-morning guy would want to tackle, though. At least, not this one.

993dave is right. The front bumper and the decklid are being rplaced with TT parts. I didn't do those, but you can clearly see the contrast between what I sanded and buffed and what I left alone. I wish the pics were better it looks much more apealing in person.

Pcar 964:

This system will work on all paints clearcoat or not. Being your car is black you probably have clearcoat.

pcar964:

yes Ferrari Fly Yellow. Don't know if it makes the car worth anymore, but a nice option to have I guess.

Looking good! In terms of time required to do the car, what would you estimate for a novice?

I missed it, but are you doing this yourself, or is a shop doing the work?
