The yellow looks great. I've always loved yellow on performance cars. Surprising it doesn't show up more given results.
What products are you using? Great job.

Mike, looking good! If you can, when machine sanding again, take a picture of the stick-on-disc sanding surface. It’s really only to give me an idea of how much you’re actually cutting back. If this is the third time that you’ve done this, at some point you’ll be striking the primers and below. Sorry to go on, but are you sure this is really the right way to polish a Porsche 911/993? Keep those pictures coming, you’ve captured the audiences world wide now!...
Take care and good sanding,
Marc.

I have spent a total of 17 hours from sanding to buffing. I f you are a novice i would try this on a beater first. Even though the system is easy to use. One wrong move over a corner and your through the paint. If you want to do a car start with a flat surface like a hood and take long easy passes. You just want to knock down orange peel and scratches. You will be rewarded with a great finish.

Note to all. I know the pics really don't show the brightness of the paint very well. We are going to have a sunny day on Thursday. I will take the car outside. That's the money shot.

I will take pics of the entire setup and post for you to look at. Usually when something new comes along there re sceptics. I was one myself until my 3M rep said try it. I did and have been sold ever since. I used to do this sanding all by hand. this system gives a more even sand in 1/2 the time. Pics to follow shortly.

I have been asked to post pics of the system I used on Old Yeller.
Top Left - Hutchins DA water injected sander next to that is the 1500 grit paper you use on the first pass. This is sanded dry. This process removes all scratches and orange peel.
Next to the 1500 grit paper is the 3000 grit paper. You use this paper with the water injected feature on the DA. This step removes all the sanding marks and jitterbug marks left by the 1500 grit paper. this process makes the paint surface smooth as glass.
Below the Hutchins sander and sand paper is a 4" DA I use this to do tight areas like the windshield frame and door jambs. The process is the same 1500 first followed by the 3000 grit To the right of the 4" DA sander you can see the Interface pad and the sand paper. The interface pad is a must it is soft foam that allows a cushioning effect so you have minimal chances of getting thin with the paint. The Big DA Sander has this option as well.
Next to thae sanders and the papers are the buffing pads I use to bring the paint back. The wool pad is used with heavy cut compound to knock down the sanded surface. The red foam pad is used with a fine cut cleaner to clean up any marks left from the wool pad. The final step is the grey waffle pad. This is a very soft pad that is used with a glazing compound. This polishes the paint to a mirror finish.
To the left of the waffle pad are 2 samll 4" pads one is wool and one is a waffle. The process is the same they are used for tight areas. The deep waffle pad next to the 4" pads is used with the Large DA to remove any small swirls. You very rarely have to use this pad if you take your time with the other steps.
The far righr is the Milwaukee buffer I use to buss the car with and the last step is the P21S polish.
A microfiber towel is used during the entire process to wipe the car as you proceed. I use a different towel for each step.
the car took a total of 17 hours to sand, buff and wax.
