gauge faces

I changed my guage faces to silver TechArts.
It was not hard at all, the best tip is to use a soup can to roll the bezels back on.
I goofed up the first time on the clock. The large hand and small hand need to be set to 12:00.
My mistake was that when the large hand pointed to 12, the small hand was between hours..

Why do you guys want to change the guage faces? The factory black is fine, the silver isn't too bad... but white face guages, multi-coloed guages... looks ricey at best imho

I think it looks good when the guages match the sport seat backs. I have silver guages and silver seat backs, looks awesome. My father has white guages and white seat backs on his 4S; factory option.
They are doing red and yellow guages on the GT3 which match seat belts and stitching looks pretty cool to me.

White gauge faces are so "1994".
If you car is white it'd look pretty good. Otherwise, it's not my cup of tea. But, if it makes you happy, go for it.
It is not hard if you take your time. Although I would try to convince you to go with silver faces over the white.

I agree the silver ones are nice, I've just seen a few white ones on 911s and they looked cheap, like something you'd see in a honda civic with full bodykit still in primer. ha I guess it depends on the car.

i'd switch only if i could get my hands on some guards reds to match my exterior paint, and the seat belts i want to get...but i agree- the white looks a bit Vtec because of all the black spots for the warning lights...
haven't seen the silver in person, but i like the matching seat back combo- in the 996's and 997's it seemed that was a big trend in ordering the car with a lot of painted interior pieces to match the console, seat backs, etc
