IIRC, by contacting Porsche it is possible. I know my Certificate of Authenticity shows all of my FACTORY options.

Options cannot be determined by looking at the vin number. However, you can send Porsche your vin number (and a check) and they will send you a "Certificate of Authenticity" which will show the manufacture date, engine number and factory installed accesories.

An easier way to determine the factory accesories is to look at the sticker on the front hood which shows the codes for the oprions installed on the car.

Good luck!

You can also look at the sticker on the under side of the front trunk compartment. It lists the codes for all of the factory options.

Wink

When I upgraded to the DSP, Sunset Porsche asked me for my
VIN #.
When I provided it they knew what stereo that I already had from the factory. So, I assume the dealer can access the information.

No, all you need to do is call 1-800 PORSCHE and give them the VIN#

The option codes are also shown in the User Manual (or is it the Service Record Book)?

This site will give your options. You provide the codes.

Porsche equips all cars with two stickers listing the option codes for all of the options on the car. The first sticker is affixed to the underside of the hood and the other is (usually) affixed to the inside cover of the warranty manual by the dealer.

I found mine in the manual.
