Hi, I need some help. I have a 1996 993TT. I took my car to the mall today to do some Christmas shopping and when I returned to my car I could not believe what I saw. Someone had ripped off my drivers side mirror. They did not take the passenger side??? Maybe they did not get a chance. What I was wondering was what year and model would work for a 1996 993TT? Or if anyone has one for sale. I found one from a 1994 968 would this be the same? Thanks Jim

Jim, that really sux... I'd think that any '95 thru '98 would work. Try LA Dismantlers... you can probably get a color match from them as they have many... No affiliation..etc...

Hey Jim, next time replace the allen bolt that holds the mirror on to the car with a torx type bolt, that way it will catch them by surprise at not having the right tool fot taking the bolt out, probably they didn't take the other side 'cause it is harder to unbolt,do to the position of the mirror itself,cheers,Sonny.

I lost both mirrors a couple years ago and they rip off fairly easily without unbolting anything.
Keep an eye on Ebay - you might find a matching mirror up for sale.

Also some 964. all 968 and all 928 GTS mirrors fit. The foot is different though.

I thought all the mirrors for 968, post-92 964, 993 and 928 GT were the same units.

Edit: defer to sweanders, mine was just a hunch
