Default 993 Cab scheduled for Barrett-Jackson...

Got the Barrett-Jackson Sneek Peek with my latest Hemmings Motor News.

Lot #721.1: 1997 Porsche 993 911 Cabriolet. Special-order Porsche with 6,000 original miles. Fully equipped with Aero kit and turbo look.

Barrett-Jackson will be held January 14-22 and most of it will be on SPEED TV.

Curious to see what it goes for...

Same color as mine, I just have a little more miles. I am major pissed today, my mechanic scratched my car awhile back, so while doing a slight touch up , the painter left some mask tape on the car when he baked it, and f**ked the top of the drivers side fender, so that has to be redone now... not good. It will work out, but son of a bitch, can't a brother just get his car serviced and people not screw with it.

I don't like the tail either. I might have to fight the traffic and go over there for a day this year. Usually the Euro cars don't do well, it's become an American muscle car exposition, but it is quite a show.

What the hell is up with those rocker panels? Looks like they don't fit properly... between that, the SUV ride height and the huge tail, this car looks horrible for a 993.

my guess is 47, it would top 50 with those miles, if he has just left it stock, but Noooooooo he had to make it BETTER, and loose money while he was at it.

I'll take no rockers, no wing , and a little crazier color scheme

there was a 993 cab last year at Barrett Jackson, very low miles (maybe less than 1k), jade metalic with green interior, tip, and went for around 60k.

Where is the turbo look??? I was expecting to see a real turbo look with wider rear fenders and rock panels... ugh... no comments on the rear wing

Ocean Jade car was actually 58 plus the buyers premium, then it resold just recently on ebay for 55k, sold at BJ with 200 miles, resold with 2k miles, Tiptronic and the color combo killed the price a little not much though, I went after it to a degree, I was willing to pay 50, already have the color combo so it had to be a deal.. 55k was fair though.

shaynes, it was a nice car but i also thought 58k plus buyers premium was a bit high for tipronic even with super low miles.

Talking Butt Ugly Aerokit 1

Unfortunately, this was the only tail available to narrow bidy cars. The Carrera S and 4S could order a Turbo S tail. The sad part, I am looking for such a fugly tail as I need it for my race class.... those side skirts...not too inventive in my opinion. Front splitter treatment not so bad....but over all, with those chrome wheels...I think I'll pass on this one.

Martin, someone that lives near me has that tail on a white 993 coupe and it looks pretty nice.
