LOL...its so cliche if you have taste in clothes and you dont wear beer smelling T/shirts that you are gay ( not that there is anything wrong with that either). So much ignorance it makes me laugh.

Do your thing Adam, if you want to stick RUF on your car, what the heck, at least you are an enthousiast with great taste... Thanks for sharing some really great pics. BTW you are a lucky SOG for having at 22 a 993! I'm green with envy

Apparently so....

Just kidding- I think the car looks fantastic. Yellow over black is one of my favorite color combos. When I was your age I put a VTEC badge on my LS Integra, so I'll stay out of this one.....

For the record I never "bashed" you. You asked for our opinion of your car and I gave it, sorry you didn't like everything you heard. I also said I liked it. No reason to take it personal. Your obviously a smart young man doing well for yourself. I wish you nothing but the best.

Please tell me how I was gay bashing or being homophobic in the below post:

"Love the clothes!! Ah, to be 22 and gay in Paris! (not that there's anything wrong with it)"

It was a joke. Hell, one of my secretaries constantly calls me gay. I just roll with it - why should I care? As I said in my PM response to you, I have no problem with gay people. But seriously, being into fashion is one thing but posting a link to your clothing pics on an automotive board might be pushing it.

Way for them to jump to conclusions....right? Well, atleast people like you, Steve and David work on a slightly more logical system. Again, I need to call my GF....she will be quite upset that we can't sleep in the same bed anymore.....since I am now pronounced gay.....according to jw97C2S. LOL have a happy holiday too Pong! I'll be home for christmas, as they say.

Adam, I dig your car, do what you want. Now you know what to expect when you ask for comments!

One thing I need to know - Do you own a home? If not, why are you paying a huge car payment and $500.00 / month for car insurance! I know the powerful draw of nice toys, but OUCH. Not being critical, just wish I had done a few things different when I was at your age.

Oh yeah, sent me your old worn out sport seats.

jw72C2S followed his response with a PM stating that "Citing french isn't helping your case" again in an attempt to further another stereotype that French people are gay (News to me as well). So apparently, the fact that I responded to his assinine remark in French, and that I took the time to master this language aside from our common medium of English, now makes one a homosexual. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

f_scaife: I have a house that I rent to students and also live in. Their rent cover's my mortgage....so i live free of any real housepayment. Otherwise I'd be crazy to be paying so much! I'd be homeless! LOL. Although my interest reate is exceptionally low on the car!

Shields up, flame suit on. I can't help myself , much as I think this thread should die a quick but painful death. But it looked like an opportunity to use every emoticon in the Rennlist arsenal.
I nominate this thread for Most Errant and Possibly Silliest Thread in a Long Time, thereby probably ensuring another good two or three days of life for it. My hat's off to those who have held their tongues.
Too much
Not enough
Too many diversions
Now I'm going to , and
Anyone care to ?

Adam, do what you want to do. As II said before, you are an enthusiast and none of us have the same vision. The beauty is we can customiize our cars anyway we want and no two are alike.

Actually, until 2005 when the RUF store in Dallas became the North America outlet, the long time official RUF place in NA is Weissach in Vancouver BC, just north of Seattle. So if there is any RUF local culture, Seattle should be in the thick of it.

I would agree... there are a LOT of Porschephiles (and car ethusiats in general) in Seattle and a large majority know what the RUF badge means...

Again, your money, your car, your choice
