H&R vs M033
I know, not even in the same league. But that is actually my plan. H&R's are too rough for my driving needs. But mainly, I have condition where one of my internal organs hurts (no jokes!) and there are times when I hit the right road condition, I don't like it.
I drove a new 993 in '96. When the suspension was new, it was compliant yet controlled. Good balance. But it sat too high.
I am thinking of replacing H&R's with M033. Will use my bilsteins with this set up. The ride will be stiffer than stock due to the shocks, I think. But since the M033 is the lowered version of the stock M030 (same spring rate), I am anticipating a little more compliance. I will never track the car. My wife and wimpy body part won't allow that. So, good street cruiser. Get's blown out on some long entrance ramps. My cornering is done on city streets. A couple of long trips every year.
What do you think of the m033/bilstein combo for my driving style?
Thanks in advance

That Viken - greatest! I have been contemplating RoW springs to replace my H&R's as well. There are so many threads on this that it's almost an information overload...

How much more rough are the H&R sport springs vs. the M030 springs? I've always felt that the suspension was a little too soft with the bilsteins and M030 springs...but then I just moved to the Bay Area...should I keep the compliant M030's or switch them our for H&R's? For reference, i'm more used to my old car, which was a 95' bmw M3 with H&R coilovers...boy was that car's suspension STIFF!!!

FWIW, when I had the stock suspension (from 50K miles to like 80K!!), I NEVER felt the springs were too soft for the street; just that the shocks were underdamped. I think that a 993 with HDs and any OEM-varient spring like the M030 or 033 would ride very well, and the latter especially well suited for daily commuting where road surfaces are, ahem, less than predictable.

After a year of ownership...i'm starting to be convinced that I don't need a back breaking ride for good handling feedback...I think i need to get rid of the 17" rims...and some get some beefier sway bars?

So for a car driven primarily on the street which is better Mo30 or Mo33. I guess I'm still confused on the topic?
What are some good places to get the MO33 or MO30 springs at a good price?
Thanks
