Default Motive Power Bleeder - What's The Ideal Pressure?

Just purchased a Motive Black Label Power Bleeder to bleed my clutch slave and brakes. They recommend a pressure no higher than 20psi. What's the ideal pressure for bleeding a 993?

Just received the identical unit - curious what the knowledge base has to say on this topic. (P-car.com does not give a pressure.)

I use about 12, going higher is not that good for the system.

I use 10 to 15 psi. 20 psi is too high.

Thanks for the responses. Are there any guidelines available that speak to power bleeder pressures in general?

I typically use 10-15 psi, and works just fine. Cars with old brake fluid seem to struggle until the mucous plug is passed

Talking IMHO

14.69 Lbs Per Square Inch, one (1) atmosphere, one (1) bar. Some think that the pressure bleeders "gas" the brake fluid resulting in micro air bubbles. My Guru Cupcar bleeds brakes the old fashioned way; manually with a pal.

Not me...too lazy, I just try to keep the pressure as low as possible...NOTE, consider NOT putting any fluid in the Motive jug itself...it's creates a mess anyway. Just use the Mortive for pressure only. Disconnect after each caliper...refill master cylinder resevoir as needed, then go on to the next caliper. This forces you to keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder. That's how I do it...but what do I know????

I dont mess with adding fluid to the motive reservoir either. Just keep an eagle eye on the cars reservoir

My seal is shot, so i can only use about 5lbs of pressure, lol. It works just fine even with low pressure. I use to use about 10lbs or so.

I pump it up so it reads at least 15 and below 20. Works fine for me w/ problems. I dump a quart of whatever fluid I'm using into the bleeder and go for it... no need to keep an eye on the reservoir.... I'm lazy.

15 psi & pump it up again when it drops to 10 psi.
I fill the Motive w/a liter of new fluid for brake flushing & use it empty to pressurize for brake bleeding.

I just bought mine a few weeks ago and used it during my rotor/pad change....10psi was sufficient for doing job.....and I did not put fluid in the powerbleeder but instead just kept an eye on the res level....did the job no issues....good product
